I think it was too much because I don't remember most of it, and around the 5-6 hour point I remember waking up and going to the bathroom with a ton of visuals still and thinking "Damn, this is annoying, I feel sober but everything looks like a fucking joke". My memory gets fuzzy around hour 1 into the journey, and then I just remember heading to bed around hour 4. Pretty disappointed.
Haha that's like when I did 8g of KSSS. Brain just nope. Woke up in the hallway tripping balls. Passed out again. Have no idea what happened.

Sometimes on higher doses I feel like I'm in and out of a dream. I'll wake up and look around and drift back off. Once woke up to a voice speaking another language,it was my own.

I confess i straight struggled in my SAB tonight. im going to take clones from every shroom i see till its comfortable. At least transfers ars getting quicker and swabing spores was easy as can be. Im going to try a neddle biopsy to see if I have any luck with that. I just cant get a pice of inner tissue on my exacto gracefully and if i do pull it off then i got to get the fucker back off the blade and onto a new plate. Got some practice to do for sure.

I have had luck using a needle for cloning before, I found some needles with a wide opening and I used it to kinda scoop some of the mushroom out then just pushed the plunger to shoot out some water and the tissue

I use a pair of flame sterilized tweezers and pierce the inner tissue with both blades horizontally and rather close to one another, without piercing the outer surface on the backside, then turn them 90Β°and tease a very small sample from it in vertical orientation

I confess... I've pretty much never been sober while working on mycology. Last night was Wine+Pot+Dirty Dancing+Shoebox/Jar making. That was one of my lighter nights.
This likely explains a lot of contam issues.

I worked the SAB tripping once... thought I was smooth: except 7 of 10 plates ended up tamming out

To be fair, I'm only at around 15% contamination rate across the board (agar/jars/containers). Totally worth it, especially w/o a flowhood.
Also. LOL. I remember once I was three (or five) sheets to the wind and high af, and thought I was being so careful and knocked my SAB work out of the park! About 3/5 didn't make it
Also, being high makes me forget how long I've been waiting for things like the air settling at my SAB... was it 5 min or 15 min I've been waiting? Shit! I forgot to put the XXX in my SAB now to wait 10 more min... and ... What was I doing? I've had SAB work take most of an evening for this reasoning.

my confession today, fwiw, i wait no minutes for air to settle. but i also don't enjoy cannabis, soooo...
what else do i do wrong? my arm holes are too small. i put work right on the sab floor. i don't mist the walls. been using less and less iso. been putting unwrapped agar plates in the dehydrator. heavily modified my PC. broke a jar of spawn. broke a giant sub mixing bucket. jeebus the list goes on a mile if it goes on a meter... mixed my units. mixed water and electricity. i don't bother with capitalization. somebody stop me.

Thatβs a long list! Iβm guilty of some of that too. I find as my procedure gets better my waiting for the SAB TIME, iso and glove usage also goes down.

I confess that I assume I was brutally fucking up my grain by not PCing them properly. The other day when I cooked the grain up I noticed that the usual strong smell of grain did not permeate my pad like it usually did. The grains prior to this batch were turning up dry over and over again and I think that partially that was due to my PC procedure. This time I had the lids flipped rubber side up and allowed the steam to pipe from the vent for around five minutes before sticking the weight on. Additionally I wasn't letting the PC cool overnight like a momo... this time I did and the one time my grain was fantastic I had done that also. Dropping a few wedges to the grain tonight, the subtle changes I made hopefully made the difference this time around.
Not flipping lids may turn you into he-man when trying to open them.

I used to vent for 10 and kept having bad jars. Started venting 20 minutes just to be safe. The other change was to watch closer so it never dropped under 18 lbs and cook for 2 hours instead of 90 mins. When I changed the venting was when I really noticed the difference. The rest is just precautions.

I work a dry SAB on a folded towel, but only for a better seal around the bottom... my armholes are only just large enough to get a qt jar through... I haven't used iso or gloves for months... set up SAB, smoke something or check boxes, wash my hands to the elbows with antibacterial soap and warm water, and go to work... thing is, if you pay attention to where you're grabbing lids, how fast you're moving, being sure to avoid the lip of any dish/jar lid, and to hold your instruments at the end, introducing only the end of it into/over the dish, opened slowly and only enough to inoculate the recieving dish, you have little chance of cross contamination: even with dirty hands... which brings me to my next confession:
Sometimes I forget to wash my hands... or cut my nails
I also vent for 15-20 minutes, and cook for 2 hours at pressure: but at only 15psi
