I can't do cold camping... especially tripping... and I've got 3 kids, so a couple months might be enough time to save up lol... Texas would be cool... We'll whittle the details while we fund up... I do like the idea of legal weed... decisions decisions

Texas and drugs don't mix well. I sat in the can for 3 months in central texas for a bag of weed. Got pulled over on I-10 and searched because I had New York tags on my car! They thought I was smuggling drugs from Mexico!! Lol Never go back to that fucked up state again!

Canada is great but no one can have DUI’s newer than 5 years coming across. Smoke all the weed you want but god forbid if you’ve had a couple of beers and drove, marred for life until you get a pardon. Might limit participation.

This is a good point, Arizona is pretty friendly I'm not sure on new Mexico, my only worry is the desert in a national Forest there may be rattle snakes and alot of scorpions

Fuck whomever is responsible for such backassward laws. If your country has a drinking problem then work on your own people's health. If a visitor has simply had a DUI then don't issue them a foreign driver's license.

We have rattlers here but they are super timid. You are very lucky if you ever see one here. You would probably have to put your hand it it's mouth to get bit. Even when handled, all they care about is getting away from you. I think the western species are far more aggressive than our timber rattle snakes.

That makes sense, luckily in Washington we have no poisonous or venomous snakes or spiders (just black widows in eastern Washington) ive only ever heard a rattle snake once in arizona and it was under some hay at a rest stop, that rattle will definitely get your attention!

I'm in tourism so am constantly fighting the good fight. The border on both sides constantly have stupid pissing matches that we all pay for.
I confess that I spilled half a 50 pound bag of oats on my kitchen floor and was so annoyed I didn't take a pic and post it on here.

Sunny ouch, 25lbs on the floor what a pita. Did you sweep them up and use them still?
Agreed about the Canadian border. I grew up near the Canadian border and remember the only thing you needed to cross the border was a smile.
While i agree drinking and driving is bad, I don't agree it should prevent you from visiting. Like Quickmeister said just don't issue the "offender" a drivers license.

I confess I would go early and stay late! And probably bring home-made beef jerky
I know the perfect place.
Not mine technically, but my wifes family farm. Just medical cannabis in the state at this time.

I'm pretty certain that me and my hammock could fit perfectly between those trees by the water.
edit: Nate is very centrally located.. but it's not right for me to say where he is.

my house is full of the infamous brown recluse spiders. reputation is way overblown.
we got copperheads out in the woods in this part of the world. they're a bit more aggressive when startled.
it's a jungle out there.
