I get that...
I feel guilty admitting it but if I'm all pumped up to do some myco work and then my wife's plans change and she's coming around wanting to see a movie or something inside I'm like "Dahhmn!"
It isn't like I don't want to spend time with her it's just when I'm geared up to spend time on my hobby it is a bummer to have to switch it up

I realized how much mycelium is like fire only 100xs slower, and How co2 and o2 consumption are also proportional to the heat produced.

If you replace "mic" with "myc" and think of "MC" as a "mushroom cultivator" you can really get a different perspective on hip hop music while u doing transfers

Honestly I am no mold ID expert. I see a pinning mold, some red circular growing shit, black and green mold. It was under a pallet for idk how long outside. Was cool to see so many things germinate on it though.

I don't feel like I'm denying myself love as Loc suggested, because I love the thrill of seeing pins pop and watching mycelium grow on agar. Plus, my imagination brings me a close-enough experience to reality, that I don't miss real sex. I get love here (sock puppet pics from cron for example). When you have that strange compulsion to always sterilize jars with grain, and everytime you see some good grain you automatically start to salivate.

During idle times, I get a huge joy out of thinking over and over about the next mycology task I'm going to do. It's always something super basic, like, "I'm going to take the scalpel, scoop the wedge from the plate, and drop it in the grain jar." And I'll think that same thought, and visualize the process, again and again.
