Thank you for the boost of confidence. I just hope it is the cobwebs that H202 will kill. I remember reading that rhizopus is not effected by hydrogen peroxide. IDK. What I know is i sprayed a good amount on the affected part of the tub and area. The cube myc is falling back a bit. Not worried about that as much as I am this white shitstain coming back.

Cobweb likes it nearly anaerobic, and is unlikely in a tub (jar maybe)... doubt that's what you're dealing with... air would stop it in it's tracks, but under the right conditions,it'll run through a jar in 2-3 days

I looked in the tub yesterday and nothing this AM BOOM 5 inches of spidly strands poking out of a quarter size area.
I have lid on holes covered. The lid is loose for GE.
Thanks for the support guys. Let's resume confessions.

I confess,I have a work christmas thing to go to tonight, but I'd much rather stay home with my hobby. Only thing keeping me interested in the work function,is that they give out cash prizes and Xmas bonus checks, that could be used toward more myco supplies.

Me: I'm not gonna make it to the Christmas party this year. My boss: did you get your tickets. Me: tickets, what tickets. My boss: the ones for the cash drawings, there are 10 500$ prizes. Me: oh in that case I think ill be able to make it to the party this year.
I'm not going to enjoy being there but for a shot at 500$ I think I can make it. They always get me with the cash prizes.

Sitting here under the full moon of the winter solstice,it's hard not to feel like someone/thing is watching over us.
Gonna stay up a bit longer to enjoy this moment.

Happy winter solstice
I confess I’m really excited to grow these APE out. Did T2 on those plates I had in the fridge. Hopefully they make their parents proud.

i use a deck screw in the nozzle to pull the plug out after it sets. but i've had bad luck trying to plug rtv tubes in the past. i went with a piece of 3m lectric tape, and screwed the threaded half of the cap over it. it'll work or it won't. :shrugs: next time, i'll retry the bolt approach.
i reckon i have about 64 filtered lids now. i wonder if i'll ever have them all in use at once...
edit: i dropped a couple hundred bucks on this damn hobby today. happy effing new year!

My confession as an amateur mycologist. I ventured into presealable spawn bags these last couple days. My 1st load in the pc was almost a total loss with 3 outta 4 bags melting. I just loaded em up, way too full, with no towel, pillowcase etc. surrounding the bags. Yesterday I loaded up 6 bags with wbs, this time stacked inside a pillow case with rings underneath em. When I unloaded the pc this morning The bottom 2 bags melted to the cotton pillowcase. It wasn't completely melted, just on the corners...2 down...Then as I was unrolling the tops of the bags to manipulate the seed one of them the filter stuck to itself.
So 10 bags ran in the last 2 days, 4 have made it so far. I have 20 left, should have it dialed by the time they've been used.

Depending how big the crack is you could use a wire nut if you have any, twist it on and tape it up and hope for the best

Me too! I have a whole bunch of PP petris. Once I started with the glass though... , the clarity is far superior, especially for watching Lions mane or swab or Spore print 1st transfers. The PP get used once contam chances are lower.
For the RTV, if it behaves like 100% silicone, I've just started to leave it skin over. It does that regardless of a cap or not and I find it easier to just remove the cured plug.
