Did the same thing on my first SGFC. Three squirts and got a whiff of iso and watched the cakes turn blue, they recovered. Now I keep iso away from my growing section and next to my SAB because labeling it didn't seem to work. Worked like a charm haven't done that since!

I confess I tried to get cute and give my tubs some open air for several hours today and now I got a little bit of bruising in them. Thought I misted enough but its dry as fuck in my house in the winter. Hope I didnt set shit back too much...
Anyone has suggestions I'm all ears. It's not bad at all...just a few real small areas

Some say they lack fae...others say dont open...and no mist when dry? Conflicting info from trusted sources
Just keep on keeping on and see what happens I guess. I'll figure it out eventually

I'd close it up for 12 hours and see if it'll develop surface moisture on it's own again, giving it a light mist if not... personally

It's mostly just on myc that crawled up some coir stem shit and couple other tiny spots
Zoomed way in...2 spots kinda upper left in clump and lower right on stem. It's hard to get right lighting. Not bad at all but hoping doesnt get worse quick. I misted and closed em up

They are loaded with knots so hope I didnt screw it up

Why not mist? I've got a couple cakes with very slight bruising too and everything I've read is mist because its lack of moisture. Not sure where you're coming from...

It looked dry, you said, from being left open for 12 hrs. Close the lid and it will be fine. Of you mist when it's unnecessary it will matt your surface and ruin your pin set. Your current picture shows no notable bruising, but plenty of moisture. You shouldn't need to mist, leave the lid on, have patience. I speak from personal experience as well as putting in time here.

I'm kinda bummed out. As much as people say "don't go back to the old threads" there was a fuck ton of activity on this board back in the day. People were experimenting, growing lots of shit that wasn't cubes. I spent the whole day reading old threads about pan cyans and tropicalis. There was an old user called Teonon that had all his threads deleted. Dude, seemed super knowledgeable. Like how much solid information was lost there? Man, I don't know...now it's just people growing cubes. I don't even know where I am going with this. I fucking love this board so much, that's for sure.

Yeah it looks moist cuz I misted before pic. Was my mistake to open them because its winter and run a wood furnace...dry af. Just wanted them to g ed t some good moisture and evap for pinning. Tubs haven't been creating own surface moisture is why I ve been misting. Either way I shoulda just created a thread cuz this is getting too drawn out in here.
Sorry all...back to confessions

I just lost 2 more second flush shoeboxes and one first flush shoebox to trich. That's 5 lost in this last 3 weeks. I think my last batch of APE spawn was a no go. Probably gonna dump the remaining 5qt,and try to recover my culture from an old g2g master and put it away for the winter.
And gonna try my hand at starting some outdoor woodlovers(Ps.Cyan),pan cyans, and galindoi(stones) over the winter.@Asura Along with some boring cubes of course.

I got lucky and got about a brown paper grocery bag full when the local fair came thru.I have since noticed that there is regular activity over at those stables in the off season. I'm sure a quick chat with the person in charge, about my "garden" will gain access to enough to last.

I've read from some trusted folks that panaeolus cyanescens can do just fine without poop.
