I dunno dude, the texture is what gets me. Granted I've only ever had those little white button mushrooms.

I dislike agaricus myself. Try some Hericium or shiitake. Those are fucking excellent.

Yeah first off I was angry that I had a bunch of bacterial rock hard spawn and a little buzzed so I wasn't in the best state of mind. I was using a bike tire to pound away at the jars which was barely working and then I missed the rubber and hit the rim.
Sliced right through with a ton of force.
needless to say I learned my lesson messin around with bacterial spawn and now have severe nerve damage.
Those were the days...

Maybe I'll buy a sample of some organic stuff from a specialist supplier so I can get the best quality available.

Those look super healthy compared to the ones I've seen. I don't like mushrooms much either but haven't tried many going to force myself to like them

Whenever I go out for dinner at East sides I always order a side of mushrooms with my meal and they give you a heaping bowl of steamy button mushrooms. So satisfying. I have yet to try any real gormet mushrooms though I guess that's my confession. I fucking love mushrooms on anything I can possibly put them on so idk why I haven't gone out of my way to grow edibles yet... I saw enoki at the grocery store I should get some next time
Edit: Just realized I completely ripped off eatualives signature what are the chances?

I also dislike Agaricus and thought i hated mushrooms my entire life until i tried other species. dont think i have eaten one mushroom since I expanded species that I didnt enjoy beyond words.

Agaricus and Shiitake are my favourites. Buttons are too simple to hate IDK whats up with you picky eaters. And shiitake make really good crumbed strips

i never really liked button agaricus either... its tolerable, but not good
i LOVE lions mane, and miatake, and beech mushrooms. those 3 are by far my favorites, never would have guessed i could like mushrooms so much
i could eat miatake every meal
and seafood used to be my favorite food before i became deathly allergic to it in high school... i miss lobster and sushi so bad!! so i was VERY happy to find out that lions mane really does taste a LOT like lobster they are so delicious

The real question for this thread is, were you doing myco work in that thing when it caught fire?
