i confess. i used plates that were poured 8 months ago. the agar was pulled back from the edge of the plate about 1/8" on all sides of each plate.

i used two cultures that were 9 plus months old. had dried out so bad, they were like a rock hard disk. it was all i had to work with. and i was lazy as fuck and not motivated.

5 days later i have full cultures looking killer! ill probably make transfers just to keep the cultures going due to me not taking the time to slant it. but, not too shabby for some shit to work with.

Was thinking about this and was going to possibly do 6pints and use 2 to do G2G to 12 more pint jars for the 66qt. Sound like a better idea?

If all goes well thats 6 qts to a 66qt, and you can add a full brick of coir. Its not that that is a bad ratio just that you can fit more in there. Ime small runs are where its at. I love spawning single jars by themselves. I tent to get better flushes, but thats likely my bad for neglecting shit

The myc WANTS to live, despite the cultivator

I confess, I havent seen much trich , probably cause the fucking mites are eating it all :/ I havent done plates in a while, and I noticed "crop circles" in 2/3rds of my stock of petris. low and behold, my little student tier microscope reveals bedbug looking dudes crawling around . eeirie to actually see what insects are like . I cant see them with the naked eye.

I've done transfers from my remaining cleanish plates, but I may just restart from prints as well if this gets out of control.

I Confess I just spent 5 minutes playing with my spawn while mixing coir and i should be in bed. On a side note, I love eating finger food when my hand smells like fresh clean spawn :solidnod:

I confess, this is my busy time of year and haven't been doing the myco stuff I want nor keeping up with you folks.

I'm going straw hunting one of these days and get some monos filled.

Something to keep me going before I get my little GH going for some edibles.

Your local feed and farm store will have a bale of straw.

My jars I spawned yesterday had some condensation in them, enough that it started pooling so I drained it in the sink. Maybe a table spoon for each jar.

I had the sudden urge to drink the dribble I was pouring thinking that maybe some psilocybin had transfered to the water by osmosis or whatever but I chickened out.

I confess I accidentally sprayed ISO on my tub and when I smell it was like OH GAWD and sprayed it down with regular water, went to drain off all the iso/water and it turned the liquid blue.  I laughed and dumped it but a friend was like nah you should of drank it, its like an extract :laugh2:

I'm drunk. I put some pan cyan spores on agar earlier and stabbed myself...I might have injected myself with spores and I quite like this idea...

I have also stabbed myself while in the middle of a drunk SAB session... I also stabbed myself directly in the center of my palm while drinking and making lids and talkin on the phone with another shroomerite... mycology is dangerous work

And this is a downside to sourcing grains online...
