Hey Black Cat! Good to see you and glad to hear you’re in your new place and starting up again. 8x10 sounds like a sweet sized room for a dedicated space for your hobby. Too bad about heat though.
I hope all your new projects go well.

Thanks! I'm excited! I put them all on agar a few hours ago. I used up the last of some TOC LC from the old place. I'm not super impressed with the size of my fruits but the fruits are abundant. Now that I've used that up I'm officially starting over. I'm hoping this Calocybe indica I put on grain this morning too work out. I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to these but I'll figure it out as I go along. Hopefully I can get them to fruit.

Hey Nobody you know! Good to see you.
Here’s a confession for you - I’ve been thinking about you today because I’m vacationing in the mountains by the ocean shore and the scenery made me think of your paintings

You have some beautiful spaces, appreciated from the other side of the world. We are about to enter our hunting season, I'll drop some pics in here cause hunters are amateur mycologists too and all that. Haven't been out yet, edible hunt first then onto other things soon after, should be getting green out there now.

Mushrooms go great with game... yum! One thing I miss from down under is kangaroo steak. Good stuff there!

Gotta be rare, that's obviously how you had it. Best way I had kangaroo was on a little stone grill, wallaby is even better when you get back down here next time. More flavour and way more tender, still not allowed to eat koala/drop bear.
I'm keen to get up there and eat the fuck out of some salmon and some bear.... if you are allowed that is.

I don't hunt animals btw, can buy pretty much anything you want (except koala) but I hunt mushrooms... maybe some herbs around the suburbs and stuff... oh and fishing.

My confession is that When I called TBC's fingers chucky digits I wasn't being a dick...I'm kinda envious of her skill with edibles..and since then I've fruited most of the edible cultures I have had chillin in my fridge...
P.S. I love my new AA930....I converted into a sterilizer thanks to Ham! So quiet I almost forget it's doing it's thing...and doing 6 4qt bags at a time is a huge cutdown on prep time...thats 3x's as much as my other pc

I confess that when I'm bucket tekking CV I crumble the coir brick up while I'm waiting for the water to boil.
I also hate the smell of cubes when they're in the dehydrator.

Yeah that smell sucks. I can't stand the smell of shrooms now, because of the dehydrator

It’s funny I never thought shrooms drying smelled bad but right now I have like 4 pounds fresh in the dehydrator and it smells like puke

It's terrible. If you go outside for a few then come back in, it makes the whole house smell like shit.

I don't notice a smell either...
Could it be the substrate? Maybe variety?
I grow mine on straw with oat supplement.
To eat them they are very noticeably sweet.
