I just got my new apartment and I'm moving in May 1st and have a lot of arrangements to make and work to do. It's kind of weird having my first apartment and living completely alone. It's going to be awesome. I can have all my friends over to play poker, dinner parties and tea and the occasional naughty shenanigans. It's a pretty decent size. I got the extra room I wanted which turns out to be two extra rooms. I am converting the walk in closet into a mycology room since it's at least 10x10 and putting in a door handle with a lock. Now I can grow all the oysters and medicinals I want. Plus this place is spotless and not in a basement. I have already designed the bucket floggers with inline fans that I am going to build for my new chambers I'm just so super fucking excited.
Way to go Cat

2 wooden clothes pins on my AA921 rocker keeps me in the 16 to 17 pound range with minimal water loss and my fire turned down low. That's the main advantage for me. The temperature gains from extra psi's are pretty minimal when we are talking going from 15 lbs to 17 or 18.

I confess the standard black plug on the aa can easily handle 20psi. I treat my AA like a ww2 submarine.

I think we all greatly under estimate what our PC's can handle. Think about the pressure in the portable air tanks, like you use for airing up tires. Those little hand held ones are thin, and hold more pressure than our PC's. Same goes with the big tanks of Freon. They have more than 30 PSI in them and those tanks are also thin as hell. I seriously doubt that any of the bigger PC's would have issues at 30 PSI. I honestly bet the metal could hold 50+psi, but we blow plugs long before that.

I agree, personally it was never the pressure but the temperature inside I was unsure about, would I melt mycobags, would I dry the grains more throwing off water content
15 psi raises boiling point from 212 to 250 roundabout right, I never looked at a chart but 20psi may make it 270? Hitting 30 while being out on errands spiked it to 300 maybe?
What's cool is basically everything here is saying chillax. Run with it.
Just overthinking perhaps, wasn't sure and didnt want to find out a hard way

the only problem ive had with running my pc above 25psi(with standard plug) was burning/drying out the grains.
at 20psi i think you start to melt pp5 or atleast deform the plastic. i deformed a batch of containers after 2hrs at 20

I do it too.
I once ran my ghetto ass thin walled stainless steel 7 qt sterilizer up to over 40. Forgot I turned it on high while going out to look for something in the shed. Came back, it was pushing the "0" pin hard and needed some time after turning the stove off to back off from the "0" pin. So it was probably somewhere around 45 psi. The wood chip bag inside was toast of course. The lid deformed a bit. Used it a few times after that, but never let it alone on high heat anymore. No safety plug
Now I got me a new sterilizer, and since my balls like instantly grew 2 inches after that one mishap, now I'm cool sterilizing at 20 psi as a standard value.

I've never worked bird seed or millet, so can't say that's ever been a problem
Lately it's been rice, for Cordyceps, but somehow I just don't give one fuck about burst grains with Cordyceps. Bugs are all squishy inside too so
Rye seems to hold up pretty good to higher temps
But oats... That one I did try and fail at 20... Though I think it was an overly wet prep on that one.
