I have jars of myc and tons of plates....but I am moving at the end of April. Do I go for it or put it all in "cold storage"? I JUST don't know.

I guess I could just keep growing and cart the tubs to the new place when I moved. It's a house and it's close by to where I live now.

Even better, keep it, just plan accordingly so as to not have anything flushing, or even spawned yet. Load jars into bags and transport in the tubs and bam it's moved disctreetly

We all just experience the same life from the same different perspective, of which there is only one, though tried and trued to the other's only for it's own existence to make sense and hold true.

I confess, I wasted 40 bucks on cheap glass plates. Garbage. 1 was broke from shipping. It won't take me long to break the rest. Why is the lid so much bigger than the bottom? I'm sticking with Ziploc pints.

I just bought a box of 500 plates for $50. Glass is nice, but I'm doing so many plates, it's just not worth it.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only TC that doesn't focus much on agar work, I've done all of it though, everything from cloning, monocultures, culture cleaning, slant storing, etc. I focused heavily on it for a few years, but I just enjoy the shit out of multispore randomness. Squirt some spores in in some jars and see what happens! MS isn't always efficient, but I enjoy it more.

That's very interesting. I don't have much experience but the more I learn, it seems that a good isolate or good clone is a rarity. I guess bein a noob on the forum it seems like everyone's got a good clone or something, but I'm starting to see that's not always the case.

It's only important if you're after high yields, which means you should be getting rid of them in high quantities as well, or they just pile up in your closet. If you just grow for yourself and friends, or just for the enjoyment of it, there is really no benefit to super productive monocultures and clones.

I'm mostly using the 35mm polystyrene ones you can buy on eBay 10 for a buck shipped. I also have some big ones.
I don't have a great clone yet but I have a couple nice prospects in the pipeline.

Potency is what I like to clone for. Its a more grueling process, but I find it worth it.
