kanemush said: I confess this hobby has taken my life over glad I ditched my wife in June.
Been 5 years since my divorce, glad I found this hobby or I'd be addicted to drugs or DEAD... Depression almost had me at the point suicide sounded like a better solution than living day to day life, then I started reading about magic mushrooms helped with depression, pstd, and other mental issues...Thought what the hell and started researching cultivation techniques here.... To be honest I've never been as comfortable alone as I am now thanks to this great hobby
I hear you brother I got some of the same problems you have. I was going to go on a sex drugs and rock n roll binge when I first moved out. Glad now I didn't or I would be addicted to drugs or more likely dead. But I have not felt this good in more then 30 years its amazing. I lived with people for 41 years parents to 18 and from straight there to my future wives place until 2017. I was scared at first didn't know if I could make it without someone, but life is back to whats important to me now. This hobby keeps me busy so I have less time to think about destructive behavior as I can't leave my little friends to die. If you or anyone else ever feeling down or anything don't hesitate to message me I know how it is.

Confession- Often times I just walk around the room looking at jars and plates and shoeboxes and bags over and over then I'll do it again less than a half hour later. Its like meditation for me

Confession - while making masters with new tubes I've never used with threaded caps, I made a fundamental mistake and they all went bacterial.
If you do the math, 15 slants x 25mL of agar in each slant = too much agar powder to throw away, so I went in the garage wrapped a t-shirt around my face and head like a turban, and I made this :
Sealed the jar, brought it back in, boiled it back down, repoured, re sterilized and just set out to re cool at a slant.
Waste not

That's like forty cents worth of agar. I confess I'd just waste it.

Yeah I guess it's probably a dollar huh. I can't get it locally and I'm running low. I'd do it again.
I guess that's a solid confession then isn't it? Pretty sure we all walk in and stare several times a day.

I get it on Amazon it's a 2oz powder for $6 it's the best deal I can find. It lasts a while but seems steep.

That seem high, I've seen over a pound for $20. We're talking about agar, right?

I buy 25 gram packs of agar agar for three bucks and use the broth from boiling a shredded potato for nutrition. Or black tea with sawdust (strained), for nutrition , if I'm working with wood lovers.
My oriental supermarket used to sell those little packs for less. I should check the bulk foods store to see if I can find a deal like doc has.
