I've always thought of starting up a semi-annual shroomery lottery/raffle. No entry fee but only one entry per contestant. I'd need help with someone in the US though, I'm in Canada and not interested in paying for shipping and customs fees. I would of course transfer the money to ship to whoever does it on the american side, but yea.
1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and lots of little ancillary prizes (single spore prints, cultures, etc). Grand prize could be like a microscope or a fully-stocked culturing kit. Something like that. Food for thought.

If someone were to host such a contest in a month of two I'd be more than happy to make together a couple prizes.
Course we could set it up so that the entry fee to play would be to submit something mycology related (say, petri dishes or some syringes etc) and when the winner is drawn up everyone who played mails their item to the winner. We'd have to have different countries/regions (eg, Canada, USA, Europe, etc) so shipping could be simplified.

So, say:
user#1 submits a package of sterile cotton swabs or user#2 submits a 5-pack of petri dishes or user#3 submits a pack of scalpels
Then, say during the draw user #3 wins, everybody ships there 'entry-fee-prize' to the winner.
Something like that. In order to limit people giving as little as possible per entry we'd have to limit the number of entries to one per contestant.

My true confession...
Sometimes when I get bored I read Anne halonium's posts and they make me laugh.
This gem that got her banned and RR's response is always good for a chuckle.

Every time I see some kind of plastic container these days I wonder if it would be suitable to grow in. Even for like little 'who gives a shit' novelty grows.

Yep psilo! That's what I'm talking about right there. I've got a couple of drinking cups going right now for the heck of it. I'm on the lookout for fun little containers that might grow shrooms.

I would always eat fresh If I could choose, that´s 50% of the actives right there. Supposedly
I wish there was a species that had almost exclusively psilocin, so that they are virtually inactive when dried. I would do experiments with this species to see to what extend psilocin is degraded in different states and formulas.

Fresh always make me want to puke... Plus I'd rather test them dry so I can see if they're worth keeping or giving away

Do you think you would be sick if you pressed the juice out of fresh shrooms and drank it? Is it mostly the meat that makes you sick?
I wonder if psilocin would stay intact for a little while if that juice was frozen as soon as it´s extracted
But I don´t even know if there is information about this anywhere or not.
