I have another confession . . .

One time, I made up a bunch of spore syringes, but forgot to add the spores and proceeded to spend two weeks wondering why my cakes weren't germinating

And one more . . .

I had a friend(who was very inexperienced with mushrooms at the time) ask me for some spores cause he wanted to trip, so I enthusiastically gave him a spore syringe. Few days later he came up to me and told me he drank the whole syringe but didn't feel anything . . .

Yes, turns out his brother had been pulling one on him and filling his head with silly ideas - like spores germinate in your gut and generate psilocybin

I confess that my chicken poo agar is awesome. I think I'm about at the final stages of development. What do y'all think? Here's two pictures taken 24 hours apart, at days 2&3 post transfer.

Day 2

Day 3

Here's an LGT from spores almost 3 days old.

Not in agar,  give it a shot and post your results.  I want to try pigeon poo but they are not around right now. I suspect it will be just as good a chicken poo.

Damn, that's crazy. I've heard they were crazy potent and a different trip than cubes, but 1.2g is nuts. Do you mind sharing your regular dosage with standard cubes for reference?

Bird poo is very runny, hard to collect.

Bat guano would be interesting, though that much nitrogen might be toxic to the mycelium.
IDK

Bat guano has more phosphorous than nitrogen in it, but you can forget about NPK when it comes to fungi.

I usually use tap water for my mister bottle but when I got home from work there was an abandoned water bottle on the work bench. I grabbed it up and dumped it into my mister and proceeded to spray my shoeboxes. I kept smelling a candy smell and I was like wtf? I got through with 2 of my shoeboxes and looked at the water bottle.  :facepalm3:

Right! I doubt it hurt them any and I dumped and rinsed my spray bottle after the discovery. We will what happens.

I confess I made a call to my favorite shroomery vendor today and I have an APE and  a new PE syringe coming. Can't wait to get those to some pasty plates when they get here. I need some shroom dicks! Lol

You want old poo,  that doesn't smell, roosting spots are the best places to collect it, they do nothing but sleep and shit all night.

I confess my very first glove box I made (we used glove boxes back in the day) I cut arm holes out on both sides of the tub.

Yes, that's true old poo would be best. Weathered.

Nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium. ham is pointing out that fungi aren't plants.

With cubes I usually eat 3-3.5 g at a time. I don’t make tea often but it was comparable to maybe 4-5 grams of cubes in tea as far as the experience goes. The dried fruits were small and weigh about 50 mg each. Not sure how the same amount of maybe a single panaeolus fruit would cimpare

Now I want to try out some worm casting and woodchip agar for blewits, shaggy mane, morels and agaricus sp. bet they would love it. Lots of humic and fulvic acids in castings, wonder if it would mess with the Ph. I know it wouldn’t be very clear but it could be worth a shot.

I'm sorry, I've gotten myself all messed up here. This entire time I've been thinking of fertilizer for cannabis plants rather than substrate for mycelium.

I've been dabbing all day.
