Some times a break is good. I personally would recommend doing 1-2 cultures on agar while you take your break. You will be happy you did when you come back to it, and have a clean culture ready to go. Also 1-2 cultures would only be like 5-10 mins of work once every few+ days.

I'm taking a break from cultivating for a couple months. My gf was in the ER not to long ago for a bad seizure. I feel I've been on Shroomery a lot and not paying as much attention to her. We also have a move coming in February and a trip in March. I'll make sure to get some projects going before we leave to Germany, until then ill be off the cultivation forums unless I'm collecting data. Was going to delete my account but I found out Shroomery is like a gang, once you're in you're in for life, lol.
Just want to thank everyone who's helped me in my practices whether directly or not. Even though I've only done PF tek I feel privileged to have worked along side the great mycologists here. Good luck to everyone on all your endeavors

I am full of sadness and joy all at the same time. The saga continue. The seller has agreed to send me two new units because the other one quit as well. He's actually a really nice seller. I was so surprised with how quick he was to respond. I was really glad I didn't have to lug these massively heavy boxes of wasted potential to a courier. It doesn't work when I plug it in and this is one heavy duty piece of machinery I'm not going to go fucking around with and plugging into the wall without some research and maybe a little help from my ex a fellow psychonaut and engineer who could easily be bribed with magical treats. I'll have him break down how it works so I can fix my hoods in the future. It helps to date men with good skill sets and similar interests that you won't hate after you break up with them.

Pretty much exactly what happened to me. Take the refund and salvage the fans to build your own. Thats what I did. Or at least pull the fan and speed controls and sell them in marketplace or on ebay. Someone can use it to build aomething.

But as soon as I passed the feild sobriety test and he confirmed that I actually so have a license, he sent me on my way lol. Feels fucked up to say but I was just lucky I’m not from out of state or a minority or shit probably woulda went down a little different.
Very lucky. You admitted to driving under the influence. No need for a field sobriety test, he could have taken you in right there. Sounds like he didn't want to deal with the hassle and instead made sure you were good to go.
I've only been busted riding dirty once and they asked me a MILLION times if I had just smoked because it "smells strong". Of course I had just smoked, look at my fucking eyes!, but there is no way in hell I'm going to admit to another crime.

Haha yeah it was lucky, but I live in a place where most of the countries pot is grown, pot has pretty much been legal atound here for years... He was looking for drunk drivers, I wasn’t drunk or an asshole so he let me go. If I would have lied to him he probably would have seen it as disrespectful and would have treated me more harshly. IMO police officers get off from being treated like authority figures. Don’t challenge the authority and they dont flex on you. Just keep the ego in check.

I confess my mind is getting too me.
I spawned 2 tubs in the past week. Not noticable signs of bacteria or mold recovered within 24 hours coir was prepped slightly dry (add more water later) fully colonized in 11~ days.
I still feel like this is going to tam out on me. So much failure in the past year. Green after green after green. Fingers crossed.

Do you ever smell your grain jars while they are colonizing? My experience has been if they smell sweet they are screwed, smells like store bought shrooms equals good spawn. In my opinion, the spawn is your problem.

Smells fine. It probably is but you don't even know the amount of trouble shooting I have already gone thru.
My sense of smell sucks tbh. I have my girl smell. She says mushrooms I believe her. I smell it too just smells like mushrooms to me.
Idk what else I could possibly do with my spawn to make it any better at this point.

Smell all your jars for now on, you will start to develop a nose for it. To me Trich has a mushroomy sweet smell while clean spawn doesn't smell sweet at all to me, just like mushrooms. You may have a clean tub this time round. Don't give up.

I'm starting to think my rye is made with fungicide or something because I can knock up 738390474 LCS perfectly fine. But the second grains involved it goes to shit.
No I don't believe my lc is the cause this has been happening since before I started LCS.
Edit in case you haven't seen this.https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24249058

Only when I'm ready to use them, but you don't have to open up the jar to smell them. You can crack the lid and smell it without opening it. I don't always have the lid lock tight either, I adjust them dependent on growth. I also use tyvek filters and smell throughout the hole in the lid where most stuff polyfill. Tyvek and micropore tape is all I use.

I confess... If I get my next run off I'm going to probably quit growing cubes... Moving on to edibles... Gonna try to branch out into that market...even if it is just a few locals I sell them to

That's what I'm doing too, used the actives to learn the basics.

It's really weird. I'm phasing away from the actives too. I'm just going to keep enough around for personal use. Too much trouble and my landlords going to have contractors in and out soon. I seem to be able to grow just about anything so far and I have my hoods so I can work on cordyceps cultivation and my other edibles. Speaking of which I'm chowing down on to some delish lions mane right now.
The guy is sending me two new hoods and I don't plan on selling these two. I'm going to get them fixed and keep them as room filters. I may need them someday if my cordyceps project goes well.
