Make sure you don't buy the American "pyrex" all lower-case letters. That stuff is all soda-lime. You need to look for "PYREX" with capitol letters. They are made by different manufacturers that Corning licensed to. Only the capitol PYREX is borosilicate glass.

I don't know where PYREX is made today, the Corning glass factory in corning Ny shutdown years ago. The museum is there and they have a small art facility, but no major glass works anymore. That's where my daughter lives.
