I confess, I am super stoked. I received 3 packages from fellow shroomery members and they were better than expected. I just checked on my plates and they will be here tomorrow. Can't wait to get started, tomorrow is devoted solely to mycology.
One member sent me a shit load of slants containing several species. I've devoted one of my kids old rooms into my cultivation room. I'm looking forward to to trying new mushrooms.

I just tried to buy more plastic containers and there were none to be had. Looks like it's big monos tonight.
Also my friend today decided instead of apologizing to me that she would tell me how mad she was that people found out the incident was at her house and that it was wrong for me to post about it on social media. When I did not post anything bad about them. Just that it happened. And in fact I didn't specify it happened at their house just that it was at my birthday party. And they that I am somehow ruining their reputation and are so hurt and offended. Wouldn't most normal people be telling you how sorry they are that that happened to you at their house on your birthday?

When everything is ready, I plan to do several shoe boxes and a few mono's, just to have some variety.

I confess I finally got this built and early indications are that it works (clean agar plates and inoculations) after having the filter and fan sitting around for almost a year... I canβt explain why it took me so long to make something I wanted so bad.

Actually I can say I was somewhat afraid that I would mess it up and or that my fan wasnβt strong enough...

Fear is a right bugger eh? I can't remember how many "overcome your fear" things I've read, but it still lurks there, shouting "You'll fuck it up! It'll go wrong! you'll see how you're wasting your life!"
on the positive side, Seth Godin (utter genius - this man should be the president) says that when the fear shouts at you, you're doing something right, you're making art, creating something new.
I confess that fear made me lave some jars in the PC overnight as I was afraid to sort out noccing them. I'll do it now after my breakfast
cheers all!

I confess the mail can't get here soon enough. I'm excited to try something new. I haven't enjoyed something so much since I've gotten sick, usually I would be bored by now, but It's like medicine, There is always something new to learn.
Edit: Mushboy, my wife wants to learn to grow mushrooms now after I refused to give her mine. I hate to discourage anyone, but I hope I can make it tedious enough she won't do it. 2 days after she crawled my ass, she asked me to teach her to grow her own.

My wife became extremely suicidal after her 4th-5th time tripping. It brought out a gamet of undiagnosed mental illness. Paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar manic depression and so on.
If it wasn't for that, I would love to get her more involved, but I will NOT help her possibly harm her self more. I love her to much.

Get her into edibles. Even if tripping isn't the best for her I am sure the practice of cultivation can help her direct her energies better

No bullshit when I got back into mush cult I would worry that my girlfriend might spit in grain jars or just trash my tubs out of spite when we occasionally argue about shit A year later and she does about 10-20% of the work for me now though so no worries about that

I confess the human mind is a bitch. I have two hoods I got days ago I haven't even opened and a giant greenhouse. Apparently I didn't think about the giant humidifier a giant greenhouse needs. Also everything is still upstairs. I also didn't think about where to put everything before I bought it and now that I have I'm going to need to do some serious rearranging. I think I'm going to have to call in some help for this one and hide all my shoeboxes in the closet.
Friend: So what are you doing with all this. Me: Oh just cloning my cat.
Speaking of shoeboxes I got 4 new ones and a 64qt mono of KSSS. Luckily the little shoebox is doing ok and chugging along. I realized my sub was a bit dry after oven pasteurizing and had to add a little more moisture so I wouldn't have a repeat of last time with the sub drying out.

I confess it's just the most amazing thing in the world to open bin after bin of clean healthy spawn. I think oven pasteurization is the way to go for me. I think I'm going to start doing my oyster sub this way. I could probably get 8 bags done at a time instead of 4.

what did you oven pasteurize?
cats are hard to clone. they stir up too much air in the SAB
