I have checked out some of those groups on facebook on my wife's account I truly despise facebook I think you have to weed out a lot of bullshit on those groups to actually get good info. I could be wrong since I have very limited knowledge about them but most of the shit on facebook is bull shit so I am sure that's no different

It's almost comical how bad some of it is, looks like there's some beautiful green being cultivated around though.

I confess I am looking to buy some Petri dishes and can't decide what ones to buy cause I am not sure which type can be pressure cooked. I know I could hot pour but I am not 100% confident in my SAB skills when it comes to a hot pour

Glass petris or pp5 snack containers, if you want to pour then sterilize. I use plastic ones and hot pour. If you buy the 35 x 15mm ebay dishes, you can practice hot pours with a super low failure cost. Last ones I bought were 99 cents for 10 including shipping.

I confess, I noticed I run out of ziplock bags when I was in the middle of getting some dried shrooms from the dehydrator.
Saw these nice glass bottles I had laying around and thought they'd be perfect.

Easy to put then in but impossible to take them out with that narrow neck. Gotta turn the bottle upside down and use something like a stick to take them out, making a mess of broken mush and dust.
Live Fuck up and learn.

I confess that I've had the best night at the microscope despite a nasty chest cold cold. Taking the time to get super thin slices makes all the difference. My new daily goal is to learn 2 new microscopic features a day.

Even glass petris are poured post pc. You sterilize them, bring them into your sab and pour. If you want no pour, stick with pp5 containers and small jars

Indeed. Imho though, it'll be of more use to just work with disposable petri's and work on your technique. PP5's will never give a visual as good as petri's do, and having a good visual is exactly why we use agar..

So your saying that even with glass Petri dishes you don't do them like pasty plates? I was just want some Petrie that I can put in thePC until I am comfortable enough with my hot pour skills.
