coulda have just pressure cooked them and not wasted the bleach and alcohol. sterilization > sanitization.

She had never heard of PCs being used like that.
Maybe you put an inch or two in but that's using it wrong

Care to clarify Bodhi? I know it's not how the manufacturer intended but most of us don't put more than a couple inches of water in the PC most of the time. Also of note, I've read the owner's manual cover to cover several times and there's no mention of a minimum amount of water needed, so that's on them. Probably why they fulfilled my warranty and sent me a new one even though user error isn't covered by the warranty.

In my manual on page six or seven it says a MINIMUM amount of water is 3 quarts

OK, that doesn't mean I'm using my PC wrong. Two inches is more than enough water. Every time I'm done PCing there is still plenty of water I end up pouring out. Everything I do I learned from TCs on this site, including how much water I put in the PC. The one time I ran it dry was because I was being a dumb ass, not because I was using it as I normally do.

I saw the life hack post about using a toilet brush to clean old nasty jars out... So I grabbed the brush from beside my crapper, washed it out with soap and bleach, and went to town on those bad boys.
Another confession - those jars had been sitting around way, way too long. Good thing a short PC cycle kills the smell.

My confession:
6 jars fully colonized, so before dunking em i smelled em and one smelled different not bad but different than the earthy mushroom smell, couldn't see any visible contams so i spawned it anyway, only to end up with the white bubble contam, after posting in the form a tc told me to salt the contaminated area (it was a small bubble) and fruit the tub, and i ended up with a nice 4 flushes, but seeing the bubble for the 1st time and thinking that all my efforts are gone to waste in the final stage, that wasn't a good feeling.

confession...
ive been lying to the wife about my latest cultures.. i told her they were all edibles and i was gonna put the actives on hold since she gave me the 'it makes me paranoid speech'. too bad they are all penis's or other exotics.
while she smokes a 3 foot bong. like that isnt illegal??
i get the argument but NO ONE KNOWS I GROW. except the wife, my parents and shroomery folk. she tried to counter with 'but what if someone needs to come inside? and they see it?'
ok that is true, however...what if someone comes inside and see our gallon bag of never ending weed(my shrooms turn into weed go figure) or our pipe collection of countless spoons bubblers and bongs... or the 'emergency' hits of acid we keep?? my point is we are going to prison shrooms or no shrooms. so to make the argument valid we would need to empty our house of felonies... now im being to drastic??
