Also does anyone else find chopping shit up with a hatchet to be very satisfying. Just had a lot of fun hacking away at a coir block to halve it.

I confess after a really nice tub harvest today i realized i had been doing shit work before..on a quest for to much spawn i was being sloppy and spawning stuff i knew was bad just to get a flush..if i got one. Slowing down doing proper agar work and haveing good clean spawn paid off greatly and i know now what i must do lol..

Psilo, your subaeruginosa box in the cultivation pics thread rock!
Confession:
I just boxed up some Serbica infested wood chips from outside the other day, so I can move it to another, safer, spot. I'm wondering how my dad will react when he sees there are psilo's growing between his Rhododendrons.
He'll probably come to me to ask me what they are first, then I'll tell him after looking in my biggest mushroom field guide (it' not even in there) that they are Serbica, then he'll probably look it up and ask me how they ended up there "because I looked them up and they don't seem to grow here usually"
They've come a long way from their anti-drug stance back when I was a kid, and I'm pretty sure he'll get a kick out of the mere idea of eating them when he sees them. He's got some neurological issues so it's probably even very good for him to eat it. This is my secret way of slowly opening him up to it. Hopefully he'll be ready to eat some before losing most of his abilities. If not, at least I tried.

I confess when I send letters to members I usually use a false return address. Lately it's been fast food restaurants' addresses. But I've also used dispenseries and head shops. I just hope they end up in good hands, even when they get bounced back.

Hey spotter. Even though it's legal you might not want to be associating spore prints with dispensaries. It's enough to at least raise suspicion on the place.

I never put a return address Just a N/A.
Only time I put a return address is if I'm sending something over seas. Otherwise it isn't needed. Never had an issue with a parcel not reaching its location either.

I confess I have about a few weeks of waiting around for my jars and this L. NUda is taking forever. I'm super bored. I need another project. I think I'm going to concentrate on my cultures for a bit. I want to really clean up my APE and Lucy culture. I also want to make some supplemented bags for this turkey tail culture I have. Who knows. I may even try my hand at this shiitake culture too. I do have a lot of free time and I might as well take advantage of it while my back is good.

Hahah. You and me both. Except I'm growing lots of mushrooms. Just no cubes. Let's hope I get lucky soon.

I confess I will attempt to clone dried tissue soon. I got a hold of a bag of PESA from a friend and all the fruits were big and beautiful. I know I can order prints or syringes online I´m doing this to test my skills a bit, like practice. I can bet my life that I´m gonna learn about mushrooms regardless of if a succeed or fail, deeper understanding gained

Holy fuck balls. I confess I have been humbled. Everything I thought I understood about pin mold is wrong. I just learned a new thing while doing some research on mucor. "On malt agar, sporangiophores often do not form, making identification difficult." So this is why I don't see it on the agar. It looks like I'm taking a new approach. I'm going to start growing my existing cultures out on to PDA to check if they are contaminated. If so I am starting over. A lot of them are from months ago before I adopted better practices. In fact I am going to star growing everything out on PDA for the time being to see what happens. It all makes sense. In the beginning I used PDA and in those days the mucor would grow on the dishes. But I haven't seen pin mold grow on a dish since I stopped using PDA. I usually identify pin mold by the black sporangium because it's white and blends in. Guess this weird need to thoroughly research my contaminants and understand their behaviors and growing conditions isn't such a useless endeavor.
