Are they the same thing as TBC was say about fungal gnats? I had some in my orchids and I am afraid they are going to get on my cakes. What do they do on the cakes?

from the spray? no they wont. I have two cats. the insect killer is made from flowers.
pyrethroid is synthetic and a bit stronger. also safe if you keep the cats out when you spray it

to make your cats sick from pyrethrin or usually pyrethroids you have to use dog strength flea and tick killer directly on them.

Well I didn't bleach bomb everything. I did it in a proper concentration and kept the cat out till it was all ventilated out. I'm not an idiot. The house does have a second floor.

Pyrethrum is extracted from the chrysantheum... No different from spraying diluted bleach...

I ended up just harvesting the tub outside and killing them as I went, got 5 of them lol.  Drying a paper plate load of mushrooms now and have no other currently fruiting projects so I am not too worried.

Well I'm ok right now. But if I see another one I'm going to go crazy on them. I think it was just one rogue one that made it home in my collection bag.

Do they eat the mycelium or why do they infest it?

They always seemed to be creeping on the actual mushroom, trying to get a free trip I guess.

Shut up Germs. Quit being such a bully you jerk face.

Well I guess it depends on your version of a dirty girl. :gethigh:

I'm so fucking sore from yesterday but I did good. I found that local blewit after almost four fucking hours. That was my first blewit find since this is my first year foraging. Someones been foraging on my turf though. No way there could have been only one blewit in such a large expanse. Plus I saw some cut stems. I'm gonna have to fight someone. Gimme that basket bitch.

Just ordered a pizza which isn't ideal but I don't wanna do shit. I've only had yogurt and a coffee. I need at least enough energy to do a shoebox and culture this blewit before it rots.

I eat them every day and so many greens and stuff that I just wanted a straight up double cheezeburger pizza. I did have a homemade spinach, garlic and beech mushroom pizza this week. That was so tasty! I got my mushys in for the day. Took my stamets7 and aloha lions mane capsules.

I confess a piece of my hair got wrapped up in my food dehydrator fan. I went to remove it and everything was ok at first. I plugged it in and out a few times and then it just stopped. Looks like I'm going to target and buying a new one and switching out the tops since the repair is a pain in the ass and I lost the receipt. Bollocks.

But guess what. My ex gave me his old one so I have a temporary fix. Not sure how long that will last so still need to replace this.

God damn it I just need this tiny packet of worm castings and poo pasteurized for this shoe box. Seems like one disaster after another. I'm a hot mess. Are the shroom gods trying to tell me something?

Yeah....they're telling you to work harder...are you putting all that shit in your sub? If so it's not neccessary to grow cubes and you may not be hitting  pasteurization temps or something... Plain ol coir and verm will work... Of course having some clean spawn would help too lol

They lay eggs in the sub, the larvae eat the sub and the mushrooms, and  I doubt they get to trip from it. They would have to have the right receptors for it n everything. I think cows might trip after eating shrooms though... They get drunk after eating apples as well. Their stomachs make it into cider

I am happy. This jar was white from the inside out and smelled like a pile of fresh mushies. I went with coir, verm and gypsum mix. Didn't feel like fucking around with it. Hoping everything looks this good when I get back Sunday.

The spent sub is for the blewits not the cubes.

All this talk of larvae makes me glad I put the blocks outside earlier tonight. Fucking fungal gnats. I have to stop bringing home strange fungus. It's just all so weird and I want to know what it is. Like the smelly orange ones that I found out were mock oysters. Really cool but smelly and tastes awful when you take a nibble and spit it out.
