Lol that's great!
My confession would be that there's nothing quite as good of a mood boost as seeing successful leaping off agar onto substrate.

This morning I went to pasteurize a casing for some Tamps and I got everything prepped out, casing felt good, I felt good. It's a good day.
I started out my pasteurization on high heat. After I came back and saw my water boiling and internal temp wasn't above 120° I knew something was up.

Last night, I even ate some.

Sounds about right. Let her believe it as long as possible. We'll be driving somewhere and I'll giggle about my mushies and when she asks me whats up, I say, I am just so happy to be here right now with you. 2 birds with one stone.

I stalked this site for 2 years, started doing cakes after the first year of stalking. Didn't have the balls to post any pics of my cake grows but I'm pretty sure I would have held the record for largest fruit grown off of a cake, for real
This fkn fruit I had growing touched the lid of the chamber and had a cap the size of my fist. It left a print on top of the handle inside the tub. And the cakes in this tub was thought to be spent and was removed from my grow area and just tossed in the corner of my basement until I got around to cleaning it out. I found that monster about 2-3 weeks later when I decided to clean the tub out

I have changed a lot of my habits since I started growing... I live alone and used to clean like once a month..now I keep shit nice and tidy...plus cultivation has helped with my depression...I have no time to be in my head when I have a bunch of agar work and shit going on....there's always something I could be doing

Yeah i cant think of any good excuses if someone asked me whats up with the SAB on the table full of jars/agar I dont live with my perents or anything but my house is tiny so I have to use the living room sometimes and the idea of someone even knocking on the door is scary because then id have to either hide everything or I'd have to set them

the hobby has consumed half of my bedroom. There is something so peaceful about sleeping next to a couple monos full of mushies. My wife is adapting and shes actually probably the happiest and most secure she has felt since we have been together

If anyone ever asks I tell them I grow mushrooms. not all mushrooms are illegal guys.
My landlord came over and I didn't clean up from the night before grain prep and he didn't even say anything

my wife thought my SAB was some weird cat toy i built because the cats always try to sleep/fuck around with it.

its funny. if you had no clue what mushroom growing was about, how would you even put it together?
a PC.a plastic painters bucket with dirt in it. a plastic box with 2 big holes for some reason..
jars are different but the basic supplies people dont even notice. i grew in the open at my parents for months before my mom was like 'wait.. wtf is that?' it was in PLAIN VIEW. think of the natives in america thinking cortez ships where water mountains with people on them. they had no fuckin concept of it.
