Happy Weekend Folks
Only one week left for the contest. I'm going to be doing some traveling so I may not post much.

Forgive me father for... wait... wrong confession.
I have lots... To begin, I confess that this thread made me jump the fence from lurker to posting. First Post!
In reading this thread (another confession, I'm still only on like pg. 100), I've come to realize that I was a part of mushcult before I ever even realized there was a mushcult. I've spent hours in the bin aisle. I've dreamed of cooking up large batches of LC to inoculate large beds of wood chips randomly found around town. Even before starting the hobby, my kitchen was full of wide mouth quart jars.
In the realm of mystic confessions: The first time I ate shrooms, I had been through what I thought was the peak of the experience and had come down significantly. We had a family member babysitting our baby child at the house during the experience, all safe like. I was holding him for a moment, thankful for the new gift in our lives and started signing to him.
The act of singing was like a key that opened the door. Out of no where, I was experiencing a second reality in parallel with the real world. The real world was there, and I could interact with it and all was well. But it was as if my mind had gone into dual-monitor display mode, and on the second monitor in my mind I watched time itself unfold. Looking into my son I could see myself, and my father, and my grandfather, and his father. And my son's children, and their children, and so on. In one moment the mushrooms drove home the point that our existence is a chain of family, and this is the legacy we leave behind.
In those brief moments, I knew exactly what had happened. When the door opened, I was given access to a 6' x 6' velvet roped glimpse into the potential. It was all an intentional show to convey just enough to convince me this was important. Very important. And very real. And the rabbit hole has just gotten deeper from there.
In closing, I'd like to thank every who made this community something I wanted to be a part of. The admins who keep the site running! PsiloPsychin for starting this awesome thread! A special thanks to Bod, Pasty, and Mushboy who's information I've found particularly helpful in my getting started phase!

Hey Josex, great choice, you won't regret it. One question: Where did you order that? I thought AA didn't send parts to Europe? I'll be needing that hook-up as well in time... I'm hoping not too much time...

I confess I sifted 40lbs of WBS to get out the peanuts. My previous bag didn't have peanuts in it. This one had a ton.

My allergy to peanuts made me switch to rye.
My WBS source started adding them few years back.

I'm pretty excited tonight I have an update for that story I told back on 399 where I jabbed myself in the finger with a syringe.
In the post I had wrote how all the jars turned green which wasn't actually true. A couple of them didn't seem to do anything so I put them on a shelf. I figured my lids were allowing too much GE and the grains were drying out or something. I took a look at them today though and found this.

It is a clone from this ganoderma

The trametes versicolor didn't seem to take but it is still fruiting so I have my hopes up.

Had an intense dream last night that I was running an oyster mushroom farm out of my house. Seemed very real and stressful, at one point I was so frustrated over something I was grinding my teeth to the point one of them chipped. thats what happens when i go to bed not drunk as hell

From a guy who has run an oyster mushroom farm from out of his house...For years... The frustrated bit was where you realized that $6 a pound on a highly perishable product was not going to cut it...

I confess. Its too early on Sunday to be awake. I put some quart grain jars away for Li today. I'm going to attempt getting this golden halo growing. Lets see how she blows. I'm going one tub cased, one uncased.
