Have you heard anything, or experienced yourself, working with rye seed as a substrate? I have several grow bags filled with rye, but they aren't doing shit.

Yeah I've found it to colonise pretty quickly and it's really easy to prepare in bottles, all you have to do is add your RGS, then add half that volume of water, shake it, wait an hour, PC, shake again, wait to cool down, then inoculate. Don't have (and shouldn't tbh) to simmer then drain, really easy.
I guess it'd be great for g2g as well, with it being really dense number of grains per square cm, there's lots of inoculation points when you use it as a donor g2g.

Hey 2 cats... please stay on topic - what is your confession? Plenty of other threads for cultivation questions =)

Looks like I made the right choice. 16 qt tubs. 4 more out of the frame. I have beer bottle lids propping open the bottom tubs about a 1/4" for some airflow

My confession is im around a year into this hobby and just now switching to a pc/oats/agar over these last two months has made me feel like Im starting all over again and barely scraping by like I was in the begining. I will not give up.

I read that entire post. I'm right with you on the sobriety train. I abused the hell out of psychs and weed from 2013 through the first half of 2014 following a catastrophic breakup. I'd never done drugs before and it was wonderful being temporarily freed from self loathing and anxiety. Eventually all my not eating (I weighed 140lbs at 6'4") and drug abuse caught up with me. Ended up with chronic pelvic pain or pelvic floor dysfunction. I was in agony. Always felt like I had to piss and it hurt to bust a nut and take a dump. Weed only made it worse. On the brink of blowing my brains out I decided I had to do everything in my power to make myself better because someone might need me some day. I started lifting weights and eating properly and within a few months I met the reason I had to live. It was a girl 5 years younger than me who was as lost as I once was. We've been together for over 2 years now and I'm damn sure this girl is my soul mate. My friends and family love her and we're moving in together in a few months. I had what little physical therapy I could afford and I'm no longer in excruciating pain. However, I can't eat mushrooms without getting horrible anxiety. Drugs just ain't for me right now. I'm happy with my life while sober, and the mental clarity is dope.
