My partner worked in mycology labs through undergrad and grad school. We used the autoclave in the lab back in '04 for the first jars I ever attempted. Went in late at night and filled the floor with the smell of grains lol. She doesn't really want much to do with it now but supports my crazy 100%. Hell she went around on tour following the Dead for yrs before Jerry died so she was in way deeper crazy in those days than I'll ever be

I confess I'm a bit curious about that one... saw this article on cultivation without the bugs here:

Yeah, I've been watching that Padilla-Brown guy for a while now. It seems he's pretty big on showing people low-tech ways to grow fungi themselves.
Pretty cool IMO. I confess that I watch his stuff:

Same here.
I confess, I never really gave mushrooms a chance. One ended up in a bite of my food when I was a kid, and from that point on I just steer clear of them. Didn't like the texture of it. Than again, as a kid I only like the texture of cheeseburgers and pizza. I think I'm gonna take a trip to the farmers market and get some to try out today. Try some different ones and recipes.

Sounds like my life story with mushrooms as well, this year I’ve been trying to eat them in foods much more often but I still find myself wanting to heave or having to force it down lol

Finally caught up on the backlog. So Boog is still missing. Fuck.
My knee was ok for the weekend. Too fucked up to really notice. Super happy to come back after the weekend to see my kitty and half the jars colonizing without any contams. For some reason two jars seem to be missing. I feel like I made 27 jars but there are only 25. I'll have to look around tomorrow.
As for MT I told ya all he was a ****. And looks like all the people that jumped on my invisible dick about be an ass to him are the same ones on his dick now about things. I've had him on ignore for the longest time for good reason. Hate to say I told ya so but ya. I did.

You make it sound like 'fucked up' is a good thing for you....
Used the 'violet wand' to zap parts of my experimental straw/rotten Cpoo sub that was still pinning. I think I aborted 'em. There's one 1"er left that I 'zapped' around the base, it looks healthy enough all by itself- if a little fuzzy footed - but growth seems to halted, & he's bruised from me fuckin' around with his home.

Doesn't matter because there's too much blackish sludge melting the straw/sub mix. I will miss you, experimental bag... And I will always remember your best fruit-

How does one's kitty colonize anyhow? And- I'd ask kitty where the heck the extra jars are.
