I bought a second dehydrator a few months ago and don't regret it. My first one is still going strong but it probably has a few thousand hours on it. Between jerky, shrooms, fruit chips etc. I didn't want it to go out at a bad time and get caught with my pants down.
I haven't maxed both out yet. Except with delicious deer jerky!

Real Petri dishes seem like a waste. One time use and all. With pastys I only have to use tape every time. Foil I can get at least 2 uses out of.
You do have a better view of the culture with a Petri. That's a plus.

Can you come clean my floor next?
I confess I was having a conversation with an individual and I showed them what I had and he said he liked more of a golden cap. Does he mean leucistics or albinos? What are golden caps? I feel like we were working off different terms.

I've heard people saying they have "gold cap cubensis" and I'm just like dried cubes have a gold look to the cap

You're dealing with what is known as someone who has no idea what they're talking about. You know when I used to hear the most talk about "gold caps this, gold caps that"? High school. They probably literally think the color of the cap is a measure of potency and will look down their nose at your shit. I've had some know it alls shit talk my AA+ for being too pale so.. whatever they think they know about gold caps, they can shove up their ass, in my experience.

Uggh pissed me off dude prolly didn't understand they get spores on them and prolly saw the little bit of black on them. Yeesh. People love the time and care I put into my stem to cap ratio and how nice they look. I usually get comments like oooh I can actually SEE the gills and wow these look nice. So I was thinking WTF. Do I have to start washing the caps too?

It frustrates me when people start spouting off laymens terms. I'm not some fucking teenager growing in a shoebox. Nothing wrong with that. But I'm still new and learned all the sciency grown up words first.

I confess. I did myco work last night which was make plates. But that is the max amount of work I want to do. I have no motivation whatsoever and I blame it on this clear shatter. Definitely enjoying it.
Gold caps lol. Some people have and make up crazy stories.
