Way to go. I usually get between 80-120 grams from half pint jars on average. But I do only one flush, I don't bother anymore with 2nd and 3rd flushes these days.
I am very interested in what you are doing. Let me know how it goes

Last fall I did my 1st round of cakes after roughly a 10 year break. I used 4 variety syringes and made up 12 cakes. My 1st flush avg was like 6.2g. I never got very big fruits, but some went like 7+ flushes. They went for close to 3 months, so many flushes I lost track.
Then I had been working with a costa rica line that I never got clean and used shitty as LC to knock them up. They did all right but was a weak ass culture.
I used one of my own unlabeled spore prints, from the 1st round, and knocked up some cakes. I didn't weigh those out, but they did rather well. I didn't have any perlite in the SGFC for the 1st couple flushes of these, cats got in it and pissed in it when empty. I didn't have the money for new perlite at the time. I am sure this hindered the yield.
Now I have plenty of perlite and hope to run some good clean clones through some as well as possible some more spores. This is the kind of shit I do for fun, while trying to nail down the agar/bulk route. If an LC isn't clean enough for good results on grains, but isn't horribly contaminated(mold, yeast, or lots of bacteria) then I use it for cakes.
@ Left - I am going to have to look up the Cramer cake recipe. Also what were you using to inoculate? Spore, LC, and if so was it a clone?

Today I woke up and was very pleased with myself for the first time. I have managed to so far not contaminate any of my jars which is some kind of special miracle except two jars that got yeast. Which technically isn't my fault because I see the same specs in my oyster plates meaning it was syringe. I have two bags of oysters and three bags of lions mane that are so far moving along nicely with no contaminants. I have a reishi antler project in a 27qt that isn't full of pin mold. I got 9 jars of clean almost colonized PESA spawn from the culture I cleaned up. I have almost cleaned up this KSSS and have enough rhizomorphic growth for a nice transfer. I have almost no contamination in my plates now that I have the new lids. My first bins are full of slightly anemic looking PM's but I'm ok with that because the bottom is covered and it's just genetics because I've tried everything and kept my conditions good. It's just everything is working out for the first time and I'm not bellyaching about shit going wrong. I am so extremely satisfied.
I don't think I could have managed to do any of this without your help guys. I may be a bit stubborn sometimes and it sure has added to my learning curve but in the end I've broken down and listened to ALL of your advice and at least given it a lot of though if not used it entirely. Every time someone has answered a questions or sent me a tech I've been reading it and learning and adapting things tow work for me. And this is where I'm at and I'm happy. I still have a long way to go but to achieve just this small feat is working towards greater things. I want a big tent of edibles in my basement eventually with a nice exhaust system. There is lots of good space. I also want my own work bench and flow hoods. With enough trading I can switch over to mostly edibles. We are looking at at least a years time frame I'm sure but I've come this far since the beginning of the year so who knows.
P.S. Some of that stubbornness was actually good for me. I now have a good understanding of contaminants and what to look for and their early stages. Also all their smells. This well help me to dispose of shit before it gets out of hand quickly in the future. In researching my current contaminants I learned a lot about other contaminants as well.

I only use it for my sterilized bags in sterile conditions because I make bacterial cakes and using that for noccing grain would be a mess once they hit open air but only because of the bacteria.
Clean cakes do make for great inoculant for grain. But there are plenty of more reliable easy ways available.
