No they are fine actually. I have given them plnty of air. They look like that because they were literally flattened against the substrate and attached to it by mycelium. These were side and bottom pins at one time that I flipped because the surface conditions got too dry and dried the top layer of mycelium out. I got my 64 QT dialed in much better so this won't happen again. This was my first mono. As they are growing out and receiving more FAE they are starting to reorient themselves upwards. Go towards the light Carolanne. Here is what they looked like before so you can see the improvement in just a day.

You do have to admit there is quite a difference between the before and after. They will look really nice once they get to maturity. I may have some other things to work on but luckily contamination hasn't been one of them.

I confess I left some big clusters of mushrooms today thinking they were nothing. Now looking at books and online, I think they were large clusters of honey mushroom.

I haven't eaten honey mushrooms yet. I want to someday. They are apparently bitter until you cook them. Then they get tasty.
Look what I did to you poor purple mystics Madhatter420.

I have too much colonising spawn, I have WBS, oats, pp5 coir based mudafuka bottles, pp5 straw based pastywhyte bottles, PF cakes, agar, and 2 liquid cultures...
I need this shit to go green just to reduce the harvest, the majority is gonna literally get binned at this point
This is all from not prepping grain too wet any more and moving away from a freezing cold house to a slightly less freezing cold house!

Isn't San Pedro weak in mescalin and you need to go through an extraction process?

San Pedro actually has the potential to be the most potent trich out there. The problem is that most specimens able to be purchased in the U.S. are what's called the PC clone. PC stands for predominant cultivar. It's a clone isolated in the 70s and it is very low on potency.

True confession: I just was doing pour agar for the first time in a long time because the plastic containers i got kept warping in the pc even though they are pp5 ... well i wasnt digging my tek so i just put the lid back onto the hot agar like a dum dum and because it was an unmodded lid the bottom busted out and hot agar spilled all over my leg and work area took me half an hour to clean it all up and a whole roll of paper towels haha ..
Id post pics but i have 853,000kb on my pics so i cant upload but it was a huge noob mistake haha .. i will just have to either drill a bigger hole in the containers for more air release or stick to my pastys
