Well, it started with wodka spiked apple juice during my edibles hunt, and then went on with some local apple wine and then on to a BD party with more wine. And now I'm drinking straight apple juice before going off to bed. Not used to drinking much

Can anybody else tell what stage of the sterilization-cycle grains are in simply by the smell admitting from the sterilizers?

Have you tried Valerian tincture? It is calming..Magnesium? Does Cannabis help your anxiety? It can get really hard but you will find your way if you keep trying.

Best thing ever for general feelings of well being is a targeted exercise program where you are working shit out for at least 2 hours 3 days or more per week. Get on a bike or do something you love and push back. You got this!

The cannabis does sometimes, but if I am having an anxiety spell and smoke to much it can make it worse for a short bit.

I think a lot of it is old suppressed emotions/memories that I have not fully dealt with. At times it is almost like a mind fuck trip. Very unpleasant but moments of clarity where I come to realization, or think I do, that I need to deal with something from my past. So when I have times of feeling better, I try to reflect on what I was thinking about or what popped into my head when I had an emotional unbalance.

Hi Psilo, I pray for peace, and blessings to be upon ALL of you, and your families.

It's like there are 3 degrees of smells when sterilizing substrate materials.  First stage is that disgusting & dirty smell coming from the nasties beginning to be burned away.  The second stage is like a mix of both.  The third stage is a clean scent of slightly burnt grains, or wood, or manure.  There is definitely a nasty scent in the beginning that tapers off, then disappears toward the end of the sterilizing-cycle no matter what material is being sterilized.  Yea, the smell is a love/hate relationship it seems.  There is no in between.  Friends, and family either love the smell, or hate it.

My GF hates it, especially with rye

I'd have to contest that no in between thing though, I don't love it but it doesn't bother me either..

I confess that final smell is delicious to me... reminds me of bread when it is grain that I'm sterilizing. Bread or malt (caramelized sugars)

Hugs TheMadHatter420. :loveheart:
I'm really grateful for these purple mystics. I've had them out of the closet for a few days and they look and smell nice and healthy. Very rhizomorphic. I'm pretty happy with them and just waiting for fruits. You're the best! Depression sucks. I'm sorry your so anxious you feel sick. Maybe you could try integrating more lions mane into your diet. I read it can help with anxiety. I'm going to try it when I get my culture to see if it works. It always feels like it's never going to get better but it will.

I confess I went to the grocery store today and kinda sorta lied to the cashier about some mushrooms I bought. He asked me what they were and I said I don't know I think oysters or something like that. I knew damn well they were maitake. Maitake costs almost twice as much as oysters here. This will be my first time tasting it. I also finally found a few nice looking shitakes. I'm going to clone them and then fry them up in soy sauce with the maitake.

I confess, my first grain jars were made with tyvek. I thought I was supposed to replace the disc of the lid completely with tyvek, basically got nothing lol. They were way too dried out.

I confess... I have way WAY more spores than I have time to play with them.

Also... I confess that I have a little smile in my heart that I gave a bag of shrooms to a gal who is headed off to Burning Man. She doesn't take them but will be giving them out to people there. Happy to know my grow will be helping the vibe at Burning Man
