I'm glad you posted that, been wanting to experiment with Lion's Mane. $5 is worth a go.
I thought so too. Ebays reviews aren't bias. The seller has no control over who posts what about their products. He sells on a few other markets too. I was excited because now I don't have to go to the hassle of cutting my finger off trying to get a sample of trametes versicolor. Cause knowing me that would be a real thing.

still true. I follow a guy on instagram who grows the dankest weed I have ever seen and he legally spawns cubes into his top dress of his no-till soil to help his plants communicate. he's all about biodiversity and I think it's the coolest thing ever. he buys spores at head shops

That's awesome natedawg. Anyone know how long spawn plugs would be safe in the mail or a good way to ship them. My contest winners live all the ways across the world and I'd like them to receive live plugs.

Just cut a slice out of a fruit to clone and put it to grain.....in free air....over top of the tub. Figured what the hell, I like to live dangerously.

I confess that I damn near want to give up on mycology but I won't. I finally got a nice mono of some purple mystics all colonized and smelling nice and just took it out to fruit. I decided to make a big batch of bulk substrate for my other jars that just finished. I bought some dehydrated cow manure thinking it was just manure but it had humus mixed in. I figured why not. It can't be so bad. Dumped it on top of my coir and verm mixture and bam! Springtails. Fucking springtails and a few wads of mycelium. Ran that shit outside real quick. Dusted my grow room with DE and sprayed it down with lysol and now I'm just praying. Seriously fuck me. I don't give a shit about my other weird little experiments I do but my cubes are my lifeblood.
Myco drama.

I confess... I own three pressure cookers including an All American 941... but there is a new AA 941 on Craig's List for $350... I'm so tempted!
On a related note I have a shit ton of jars but WideMouth quarts are on sale for 10.99 (normally 16.99) right now... oooohhh!

You guys got it expensive up there. I get my packs for no more than 12.99. I'm surprised too because I live in a place where everything is priced crazy. Maybe it has something to do with less people canning here.
I'm totally jelly of all your PC's. I want one that plugs in. that's so a dream for me. Then I'd never have to go upstairs to do any myco work.

I confess foraging season is eating up agar work for breakfast, and spawn work for lunch. Foraging just gets me feeling way better than home growing does. Being out in the woods determining and picking mushrooms is the most basic and the most advancing thing at the same time, and the more species I get to know and discern from their possibly poisonous counterparts, the more fun it gets. Fun's not the right word though.. It doesn't quite cover it.

Eat a Death Angel.
For the more intellectually challenged among us, this is a deadly poisonous mushroom, DO NOT eat it.
