Oh no, the breath-holding-whilst-doing-SAB-work one is me...
Is this still retarded even if I bend down to look through the armholes for slightly better visibility? I'll hold my breath or turn my head to breathe out.

At least tump is entertaining
Every time I see one of his posts, I know there's gonna be something funny said a few comments later or even a gem from tump himself. Just take people on here less seriously and let the funny flow through you

Anyone else have crazy dreams?
PF, bulk, then agar gave me dreams of doing the work all night before I had to get up and do it for real. It was exhausting...but
My last dream was of extracting a sample of flesh from my chest to a clone of myself in the basement, and making backup samples for storage. I was trying to avoid reaching a certain age at which the government would execute me. I kept waking up in a new body and checking this site for updates from everyone on new techniques.
Woke up all sweaty, told my dad about it the other day and we just laughed. By the way, no, I didn't do any the night before... do any of you guys ever get this too? Kinda hoped I'd have another dream about it but nope.

I dreamt the other night that I was examining the back sides of my lower wisdom teeth and the round bump part of the lower jaw that they fit in and was thinking everything looked perfectly normal.

Has anyone poked them selves with a spore syringe? It was like my 2nd or 3rd time using my sab and I was kinda fumbling around in it with my agar plates and syringe and poked myself real good with it. I was inoculation two dishes and said screw it and take the chance. My finger was bleeding good inside the glove and the plates are looking real good.

I did this the other week. Ordered a 16g needle brand new and just locked it onto my syringe. The plastic sleeve was impossible to get off and since I was working in a SAB I was yanking on it while trying not to stir up too much air. It finally popped off and I immediately stuck the needle tip right into the tip of my thumb under the nail.
I was pissed. Those needles are sharp as fuck and my thumb didn't stop bleeding like a mother for a half hour.

tip learned in phlebotomy/injections class: wrap one hand around the body of the syringe, brace your other hand's fingers around with your forefinger and thumb pinching the base of the needle cap. Then twist the cap in the opposite direction of the needle's screw thingy (if it's that type of needle connection, I forget the names, luer lock something). Anyway the point is, twist the cap off, so that removal of the cap requires zero force and your hand doesn't rubberband snap-back at the needle, only your forefinger and thumb even move at all
if this makes zero sense I could maybe do a gif demonstrating it but lol I aint got my nails did
[edit] Oh, and my amateur confession: my very first inoculation was spore syringe to PF jars and done under a "tent" made of garbage bags draped over and taped to a tall dining chair. I covered myself in plastic as well, only the eyes sticking out, and stuck my head under the hood of this monstrosity and inoculated three jars. I knew I needed a still air environment but somehow I hadn't yet come across any suggestions to just use a tote. It worked but... I was too ashamed to mention it even in my earliest journal, heh

Great confessions tonight folks!
I've stuck myself a few times... then watched blood spread out under my glove...
My first SAB was a dry cleaning bag laid on a table. I whipped down my jars and loaded them way into the back of it. It was kind of awkward but it worked fine for inoculations with syringes.
