I confess I just learned the true strength of ganoderma sesille mycelium. I heated up my scalpel because it was the only way i was going to clean cut through it. I also learned a vital lesson to cut it into smaller pieces because you can't shake it apart like cube or pan myc. You just get one mycelial sheet. I just kind of shook it around and buried it in the middle. It also sucks because that stuff is almost impossible to move once you get it mycelium down on the glass. Had to heat the whole scalpel so I could reopen the jar and push it down further to the grain. That was a little frustrating so I may wait till tomorrow to do my purple mystics. Also I so need to do some agar and I need to clean out my old plates. They are looking pretty sketchy. I'll get all that done tomorrow and then give myself a little vacation and go fishing and swimming at the pond on Tuesday. I really can't wait to move and have a better space to work in.

Edit: Decided not to be lazy and get my purple mystics into jars. It feels fucking fantastic to have shit going again. I just have to be super good and make agar tomorrow so I can continue trying to get a monoculture with the left over pm and pan cyan agar before it grows mold just in case anything goes wrong with these batches and the PESA and KSSS that's been sitting since the 25th.

If the guy seems like he's down, you might be able to carefully suggest a lower price with an added shroomy benefit.

As for the paralysis, I think it's got more to do with the acetylcholine, as Benadryl seems to work for it. There is also a history of shamanic use of Amanita Muscaria in conjuction  with plants containing atropine, like Datura. Atropine has strong anticholinergic effects, and the use of the atropine containing plants was to negate negative side effects. This leads me to believe that the combination of woodlovers with these types of plants (care needs to be taken as these plants are deadly poisonous at low amounts) could be the way to avoid getting the paralysis. I have dealt with Parkinson-like symptoms from Lyme disease by sucking on one or 2 Datura seeds, and it was very effective. It was only mild symptoms (a shaking thumb) but it seemed to work fine. The supposed dose to start to be careful around would be around 10 seeds, and that is also the dose that could  start to be psychoactive. The dangerous thing with the seeds is the strength varies per plant, and also depends greatly on the ripeness of the pod when harvested. The ratio of the compounds also differs greatly on the same differences. My seeds were harvested when the pod had started to rot away, from adult plants. This makes that my seeds should contain about 3 times more atropine than scopolamine. When harvesting plant parts (all parts contain alkaloids) in young plants, this ratio is the other way around. So if you plan on testing this out, you need to know what you're dealing with, preferably by harvesting them yourself. I have the seeds and I also have woodlover mycelium, but it's still growing, no shrooms this year probably.

Was bottom watering a second flush shoebox and a tiny little bug like a beetle but quicker came running out when the water got to him. Legit scared me lol just wasn't expecting to see something scurry across the sub.

I threw it and the other tubs i had post first flush out, pulled all furniture away from the walls and did a deep vacuum and sprayed all the baseboards and windows with bug barrier shit. I had a gnat problem when I was doing cakes back in Feb/March but I did the same thing as today and that's kept them at bay this whole time. Might be overkill but my place looks nice and I feel better.

Gotta stock back up on tubs now

I confess my still air box scares me sometimes. I have an alcohol burner containing 95% iso that's fixed in place and sometimes, I can smell the fumes so strong when getting ready to do work in it that I end up venting due to fear of
blowing myself up (Had that happen with a small SAB after using 190 grain alcohol).

I would like to hear opinions on placing fae holes in the SAB stuffed with polyfill or covered with micropore tape. Thanks for any replies.

Holy shit dude! Don't flame inside your box or your burn your arms off. :nowaitstopdammit: How are you still alive?

Also I'm not any better. I confess I have been drilling holes in my mason jars the past few days and it just dawned on my now after looking at the shavings that I should have probably been wearing my safety glasses. The stress of life has made me stupid.

I confess, my maz isolate is a pour producer. My clone is already producing nice pins and I spawned my isolate a month prior and it's just shooting fruits here and there.

My sab is totally sealed. I have equine exam gloves siliconed over the arm holes so it is a true still air box. It's modeled on one we had in the lab for working with pathogens minus the exhaust fans,  that's why I'm considering the polyfill stuffed vent holes.

Custom made alcohol burner I made with a 1/2 pint wide mouth jar. I have used it for almost a year now with no incidence (since I started using 70% iso. To wipe it down instead of 190 grain alcohol I used in the original small, open arm box), but I do worry about fumes when I haven't used it for a few hours after loading it. I have had zero contamination problems since I made this one and can still keep the a/c on in the burning ass heat.

I confess I did the same thing once, because I had gloves zip ties to 4" pvc sleeves in my SAB to keep it completely sealed. I have since removed those and just use gloves on my hands and flame outside the box. I lit my hands on fire in the gloves once after applying hand sanitizer and got them too close to the flames.

Idk about you but I wouldn't like sleeping in the room with an electric AA. It takes a long time to heat up and will stay hot for quite a while, you will be warm. It would be uncomfortable for myself.
