What do you mean paper micropore? The micropore tape is like a fabric type papery tape.. And on agar they wont be starving for air long before you transfer anyway ...

There are several varieties of micropore tape, paper, plastic and cloth are some I know of and have used,  3m makes most of them.

I know where there is a whole abandoned building full of the just wasting away. They have the ones for industrial kitchens that are big enough to sit inside. Damn shame they are just going to waste away with the rest of the place. They also got a  fryer big enough to cook a person in.

Have I mentioned I love you guys. You have saved me from making a shit ton of expensive mistakes. I haven't really had to go through the list of newbie mistakes and throw anything out since I started. My agar has been going surprisingly well. My grain jars are about to finish up their two hour steam and it's onto tiger dropping. Oh yeah!:gethigh:

I can't drive and I think you'd need a few people to get it. Unfortuantely I don't know enough people willing to engage in getting them. There is still one active building close by.

I don't trust myself with my cognitive issues. I can legally drive but not everyone who can legally drive should.

Maybe. I'll go scope the place out and see if it's feasible. I know there have definitely been scrappers there. More and more steel disappears all the time.

I confess I started smelling a very odd nasty odor. I realized I was brewing a frothy cup of yeast. I found a cup of grain water I was saving for the freezer for some agar later. D'oh.

my first car was a 69 vw beetle. i got it when i was 15 for 900$.  i worked for every penny of it and paid my own insurance at 15. in texas, i was able to work a job at 15. i made 4.25 an hour. minimum wage. one time i got a raise to 4.50 an hour. that was ballin back then. that meant you had authority lol. even though it couldn't have been hand change after the governments cut on your paycheck.

awesome man! hey driving is stressful. the less i drive the better i feel. but when your young, it opens so much freedom in your life. i hear stories these days of kids going to college and not wanting to work and don't have a license. ok, take a bus. ive done it. but you will want to drive once you take a city bus for a few months lol
