Should I sterilize my substrate cause I added BRF?

If you are using supplements in your sawdust, you definitely need to sterilize. If you dont want to sterilize, you
could use lipa tek on your pellets and add the supps to your spawn or just use slightly more spawn when you mix it
with your bulk.

Thanks mycolorado! Ya I was pretty stoked when my buddy hit me up.

I got a place down the street that will luckily sell me hardwood pellets cheap. What if I dropped in a little bit of these worm castings into the mix that I have too? Does that add nitrogen?

Is durapore and micropore tape the same because I just realized I'm using durapore and not micropore on my plates.

Guess I'll just double up the durapore then just to be safe.

Well i could be wrong too, from what it looks like it looks like it would be but again it may not breath as much as micropore?

I do 1/4 or 3/8

Frank used to used huge holes with poly. I say less than 1/2"

ime, huges holes = dry top layer of grains. the larger the holes, the tighter you have to stuff the polyfil to prevent that from happening.

i like 1/4" but honestly i dont even use modded lids anymore cause i hate wrapping shit with foil for the pc

I read the 3M site and it's not listed as breathable. Shitake! How are my cultures still alive? I better go find some micropore. I'll just save the durapore for labeling from now on.

D'oh. But seriously. My cultures. How are they so lively. The stores only sell paper micropore tape in my are. That's why I bought the durapore. I'm full of sadness. I may have to order it online.

What do you mean paper micropore? The micropore tape is like a fabric type papery tape.. And on agar they wont be starving for air long before you transfer anyway ...

I just ordered this stuff with the dispenser for super cheap so I won't have to fuss with trying to get it off my gloves while ripping it. And now I feel super silly because micropore tape doesn't come in cloth. Just paper with rayon backing.

You did myco work without drugs? :shockedpussy:
