LMAO... never thought I would experience something like this after moving out of my parents but I let my dad borrow my car today to do something and forgot I left a spore print I'd been meaning to send out and when he brought back my car he holds up the foil and says "what kind of drug is LGT and why are you driving around with it"
I couldnt hold my laughter, told him it was some dank weed ash I had put in the foil cuz i didnt wanna ash in the car and forgot to throw it out LOL. He called me a stoner and drove off

I'm lucky to have a super understanding and interested mom. I show my mom my monotubs and she asks questions and is genuinely interested in it. She even wants to eat some but is extremely busy and slightly nervous about it. I have been getting her to go to the deprivation tank center with me and she loves it She's 65 and says she's never experienced anything like it in her entire life.
She's extremely spiritual and even an ordained non denominational minister so I can only imagine what her experience would be like.
It's nice being able to not have to hide your second life around your parents and family. Plus she likes that I hook her up with reishi tincture all the time She swears by that stuff. Maybe start growing edible mushrooms also that way you can slowly introduce your fam to a small portion of your interests

Confession.
These past few months have been the most informative and hard of cultivation I have ever done. Period. I have had more luck with spores to grain but agar is helping me non the less wether I have mushrooms or not I'm still happy about the experiences I have encountered.

Very cool indeed. I definitely want to get into oysters to give to them to try, as well as my friends. I think they would just be a little hesitant at first though because they know of my affinity for mushrooms found my grow back when I was a teen

In the process of splitting my little "grow room" in half so my wife can start a grow area for buds. She was interested and helped with our first pfcake grow, but now she says it's to much. Now she just grows sunflowers, and at least acts interested when I talk about substrates and field capacity. Lol

Glad you are hanging in there in there. It gets easier once you get your sterile tek down and with practice. It's easier than trying to win the genetic lottery.

If anyone was going to bitch about someone being homophobic or ignorant it would be me. Their just basically saying I'm not gay but hell if someones willing to suck me off for 20 bucks I don't care who it is. That doesn't make someone homophobic. That just means they have low standards and that's a completely different issue altogether.

That being said does anyone have any recommendations on what size hole I should drill in my spawn jars for polyfill. Want to PC them ASAP so let me know soon so I'm not guessing.

I am not homophobic in the least. I just though of the t-shirt and made me lol so that is why it was said. hopefully now it was obvious it was a joke. =)

I confess I bought something I'd never seen before while out buying my drill. I found a 3 dollar 1 lb. coconut coir brick from the Burpee seed company just to compare it to eco earth. I didn't really need it but I couldn't resist picking it up when it caught my eye on the way out.
Also my kit has a 5/16 which is close enough to 3/8th but no half in. The 1/2 spade bit proves to be a little too aggressive on the lids causing sharp jagged edges.
