Myco confession-
Yesterday I flung a whole 5# bag of 90% colonized PE spawn all over my lab.

I went to shake it, the seal failed, fucking grain EVERYWHERE!

Did you go carpet surfing, or just vacuum and call it a loss?

No carpet in the lab. only hard easy to clean surfaces.

Just clean it up and move on.

Had it been at 100% I might have scooped it up and tried spawning.

Sometimes I actually feel penis envy when I see pics of a PE tub. :vag:

I'm really hoping you're talking about your shrooms.

Never grown em. I find regular and even small size shrooms very satisfying. It's not the size, it's how many you do of 'em.

Does that make me a shroomslut?

I confess someone is getting a nasty letter from me. I could have sworn I didn't order a bag of trichoderma spawn. Lesson of the day. Do it myself from now on no matter how many other projects I have going on. It's a good thing it was only opened outdoors. I did however spread some of the bag down and it's wet and rainy and it's everywhere on my patch. It better not ruin it. I hope it gets hot and dries everything out since I don't have my top layer of substrate over it yet. I had to go inside and immediately remove my clothes and shower.

I just sent them a note that said I'm pretty sure I didn't order trichoderma. But it would be pretty funny to let it keep growing and then send them a solid cube of trich in the mail.

I just wanted to be nice and support a small local business just trying to make it. I'm sure they will be super nice and fix it. I'm just pretty sore about it is all.

I just looked at trich and apparently trich is like crazy green. This looks more like an aspergillus. I want to be mad at them but it must be hard to be a small local company. Let's see what they do to fix it.

Yeah a type of asp is what I was thinking originally. Was supposed to be yellow oysters?

No I ordered a bag of mildew. I like to fry it up and make a dish akin to broccoli bites. :ducklol: Yes. I ordered yellow oysters. There wasn't any of the contaminant on the outside just in the core. When I opened the bag it smelled fresh and mushy.
