it's all about comfort, it's like driving a car or flying a plane, it's scary and uncomfortable at first but then it becomes relaxing and a way to keep your mind off bs

Messing around with your transfer is much more of a contamination risk than doing what i did in my opinion. Then again, i confess i am not much of a cultivator.:headbang3:

So clearly I got some weirdness going on with these outdoor cubes I just found. Yay! I made outdoor cubes. The fucked up thing is they look like two completely different varieties grown in the same spot. I threw a pile of dehydrated manure back there a few days ago and it's been pretty rainy here. Also it's where I dump all my spent substrate. I'm wondering if those little ones are from the first substrate I dumped out because it was producing all kinds of strange fungus. They were a leucistic AA plus I think. They were growing in the section I dumped them in months ago. The big one is definately an escondido. I should have left it outside longer. It's a big fattie. I think I'm going to go clone it right now. But do you think it's two different varieties. I also threw all my old dishes out there a few days ago and I know the mystics couldn't have developed that fast. But if they are the AA plus I should probably clone one of those too maybe or just print it? I got some fresh plates. What do you guys think?

I confess that I shouldn't be trying to do shit while I'm all kinds of fucked up. Yeah like I'm high and bored. Let's go see if maybe something is growing in the backyard. Now lets do the worlds stupidest and sloppiest attempt at a clone job and make a spore print at 5am with no sleep. But yet when I'm sober I'm lame and anxious and can't even get to my transfers. Sigh. I have to pull myself together. Life's been killing me.  :smirnoff:  :feelingblue:

Holy fucking shit. I was going over some old urbex videos I shot and realized that the things I was stepping over in some of the buildings are old blowers. I may have to get some before they tear the buildings down to make a flow hood.

I totally forgot these things were all over the place even single ones.

I think this is some kind of four blower setup with a plug attached. Shit I hope so. I wouldn't be surprised because this building is the oldest build in the 1800's and is packed with old medical devices. Looks like better sleuthing is needed. It's totally mine if I can carry it out.  In these 70 something buildings there is bound to be something I can use. Also the old kitchen building may have some large pressure cookers. Not sure if any are small enough to take. Will have to go visit again. There are 70 something buildings rotting away on this complex. There is even an abandoned maintanance facility full of tiny panes of glass for prints. Just gotta rinse of the asbestos. :gethigh: One old abandoned kitchen facility and a newer one. There has to be shit all over I can sneak out before they demo it. Like there are even industrial electric fans galore and shit. And I'm sure all kinds of blowers for the ducts. If someone can show me photos of what I should look out for or tell me what I should look out for I'd be greatful.
It seems my favorite hobbies are all interconnected. Mycology, urbex and photography. This just made my life better.

You should be wearing a respirator with a heavy duty filter while walking around in that place, your kicking up asbestos just walking through.  Also, the blowers are probably full of that shit, you sure it's worth the risk? It only takes a tiny about of asbestos exposure to cause mesothelioma or some other nasty disease . Just my 2 cents.

@TBC, I wouldn't bother cloning that fruit if it came from a spent sub. Culture
is already at the end of its life cycle and will likely be a shitty clone.
Print it for sure though!

I confess I have something like 26QT of 2 month old spawn, got bacteria, sitting around. Strange thing is I spawned some about 3 weeks back and it did rather well. 2 flushes, total 50g dry, before mold popped up. Not sure what I should do with it. I almost want to gamble it on a pool, lol.

So I did some agar work the other night. Cleaned the shit out of my sab and the table, misted and all that good shit. Wiped my arms down with alcohol, then gloved and wiped those down. I cleaned my gloves with alcohol ever transfer or 2. Flamed the scalpel as high as I could between each transfer. Now they all have satellites of mold. I guess my "tent" room in the basement isn't work. Some times I get great transfers, other times this happens. I need to get some wood and build this fucking flow hood, as well as actually finishing that off into a real room that can be sealed fairly well, and scrubbed with the flow hood.

Psss... Hey. Been doing this for awhile and trust me I have the respirator. I also understand mold and diseases like round worm that come from dried feces. Also rodent born diseases like hunta virus as well. Hell I even have to be prepared for black legged ticks when I bushwhack to these places. This isn't my first rodeo. I actually have a list of the places that show the buildings that have asbestos and the ones that don't. Someone in my forum sent them the maps they had drawn up to send out once they found someone to take the demolition job. The one where I found this blower definitely does have asbestos. I can clean it and vaccuum it out with my hepa vaccuume I bought especially for removing pests when I moved into a place with bedbugs. I can run it outside and wash it and get as much as I can off to begin with. First I'll get my list and search the buildings without asbestos for one.

Sounds dangerous and risky. If you're looking to save on a blower lots of local HVAC places will give away or sell you squirrel cage blowers for dirt cheap.

Wrong. Long term exposure causes mesothelioma.
But still, I wouldn't use those old blowers to put in a flow hood to scrub air.

The blowers won't scrub air, the filter will, can't really see any reason why it wouldn't work. Wouldn't do it with one of those asbestos ones though, for your health's sake.

Wrong. Long term exposure causes mesothelioma.

You sure about that? I believe I've read somewhere once that the long term exposure thing is only true when the asbestos is in a manufactured product. I think asbestos dust could definitely cause problems on a short-term exposure basis. Think about that stuff sitting in your lungs...

Well if you want to get technical the flow hood contains both the blower and the filter which work together to scrub the air, which is what Ruza originally said
