I understood 'hunting trip' as game hunting with guns but correct me if I'm wrong

Confession of the day. I wish I lived in an area where I could do some wild hunting of cubes and strong pans. Growing is so much fun but so much work. Like insane attention and detail to work I'm still anxious and overwhelmed with the idea of getting them off agar and onto a third transfer let alone into bins. I'm sure it will get easier. But really I don't know how you guys do it at this point. It's like pastry and baking. You can have an insane amount of book knowledge but it's not worth shit until you actually go out and bake the things. It's An experience. I'm just afraid I'll do all this work and make a bunch of shitty bins and feel stupid.
I'm going to go look for this giant bunch of oyster mushrooms I saw and hope new ones popped up in the same area. They seem big healthy and hardy and willing to grow in less than optimal conditions. I'll have to find some smart people on here to help me identify the type of oysters.

Try listening to "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor TheBlackCat. That'll get your mojo going.
Just messing around. I think everyone on this site has felt that way at one time or another.

In the fall, if you can't find active mushrooms around here your either blind or not leaving the house.

I confess I thought I found some wild oysters to clone but may have brought home hen of the woods (maitake) instead. I'm working on getting an identification. If it's maitake then I still scored. I brought home some specimens with the mycelium and dirt still attached.
I broke up the really old icky specimens and tossed them all around the area hoping to spawn some more in case I need them later.
Now I just have to convince somebody to come help me grab this really sweet black mulch that's on sale for 4 for 10 bucks for I think 2 cubic feet at the supermarket.

UPDATE: Edible but not tasty. Most likely the Hohenbeuhelia petaloides.

Do you just take some out or add as needed? Are they pretty well dialed in for your needs?

Boogie, if you can, remove it, flip it pins up, and stick in a bigger tub and fruit like one huge ass cake. I did it once and was happy with the results. I know, that is going to be a BITCH with one that big.
