Have you ever grown pans. I can't rember if your the one who says you don't fuck with them. Is it possible for pans to germinate in a bit over two days. The spores were like three years old but my dishes were really wet. I was curios because when I put the flashlight up to my dishes I can see the faint beginning of a round growth slightly opaque and round centralized around the flecks of spores I dropped or is it most likely contaminated. I don't see mycelium yet. I'm so impatient and curious I know. I used a really bright 1000 lumen flashlight and that's how I was able to see the faint spots.

I can't because I'd have to open the dish. They are only visible with the use of a 1000 lumen flashlight and appear as round opaque areas at the moment. I don't have a lot of the panaelous spores to play with since I got a faint three year old print someone gave me that they received in a trade years ago. I can wait a day or two until I see more growth and decide for myself or post photos then. I'm just being impatient.

Ooooh and I found this super old article when I was looking for a way to get more clarity in my agar. A huge issue I am having is I don't like the loss of clarity from the potato flakes. Despite it's age I think it still has quite a bit of merit. Who knew that bottle of bentonite clay was good for more than just rubbing all over my face. I don't think I would go this extreme but it might be a fun thing to try. I'm not sure if this formula needs a starch too since yeast are a different species than cubensis or panelos. I feel like this might be the wrong forum for this discussion but figured I'd share the article anyways.

I confess I have received a culture slant in the mail and I have no idea who it is from or what it is...

Since it is from Europe I have a few suspects...

@BlackCat, my pans made themselves known relatively fast. You may mistake it for mold at first, obviously watch for colors or post some pics here.

Yeah they do. If you look at my first flush from my last grow they were all side pins cause I made the casing too thick. Had to let them out of the bag. I usually save my active and less attractive bits for myself and bring the nice ones out around friends.

Hi guys, sorry I was out killing jews.

Yeah, that's a swastika. I have a big bold one on my chest as well.

JK!

I think refusing to use symbolism because it has been used for a less than fabulous reason, is plain wrong. That would be like saying you can't use cars anymore, because ppl but bombs in em and blow em up. If you look behind the swastika, you'll also see a david's star in 3D. That's a symbol of the jews, and I believe the swastika is in the jews religion too somewhere. Anyway, it is the form of galaxies, and a driving force in nature, and the davids star of 2 triangular pyramids represents the connection between dimensions.

If you look closer, it is actually an artistic representation of a mushroom cap, on some hallucinogen of course, with space ships leaving from the cap and  some sort of travel vortex in the center, surrounded by mushrooms. Or some other crap like that. Whatever suits you

Confession: I'm beat. Been doing SAB work pretty much all day, started at 10 this morning, just finished and it's 11 PM here. Hot poured all my dirty cultures, transferred a bunch, swabbed some stubborn spores to half gelled agar, put wet vermiculite to some old full plates, did some jar inocs, and cleaned some tubs in the meantime. Mush cult can be exhausting.

It's a figure of speech. Meaning garbage basically. Scraps, not fit for humans, so on and so forth.
