Excuse my ignorance but is that a swastika on your avatar?

even if it is, that symbol was never meant to be malicious until hitler came along

The swastika is actually a hindu symbol.

One thing people don't know about hitler is that he was obsessed with appropriating other cultures and claiming them
for germany. They took lots of symbols: the Iron cross from Catholicism, the ss lightning bolts from greek mythology,
the swastika from the hindus/buddhists, etc. etc.

The difference in the swastika is that hitler turned the swastika 90 degrees. The one in lizards avatar is the nazi
one but I'm sure he meant it to be the hindu one. Unless he's a neonazi . The hindu swastika is turned 90 degrees

If you look at pics of the pope, it's on their garments. It is a symbol that spans many countries and cultures, but
it is most well known now as a german militant medal/symbol.

Yeah I understand the swastika has been around long before hitler. I was just curious if thats what it was, or what exactly his avatar is.

The mykelium damn it! The mykelium. Nightmares for days watching this video after knowing what I know now. I would have had all the failure. Plus it's just fucking creepy.

I actually noticed the Swastika awhile ago and Booogieman's iron cross in his signature. Hitler perverted a lot of things and had no original ideas. The Eugenics movement was started in America and in the early 20th century and inspired Hitler. I know because  I did a lot of research on it because I always research the places I do urban exploration in. My favorite places at the moment was a dumping ground for what they considered genetically undesirable.

Just stuck a 1000 lumen flashlight on my dishes and I can definately see growth in all of them. There is one nice bit of fluffy growth hanging out on a big spore chunk I accidentally dropped in one of the dishes that's definately mycelium. I think the growth I saw in one of the dishes is definately pin mold thought. It's not growing in a full circle and is sticking up. looks suspicious. I'll give it a little time and if it starts looking gnarly I'll toss it.

You mean bacteria attacking the mycelium causing it to grow in an irregular shape. IDK. I'm thinking more mold because it's white and sticking up straight and reminds me of the pin mold on a mini tub I threw out recently. I think I may have gotten a lot of pin mold spores hanging about because the tub was super infected.

it really depends on how high it is up off the plate, germination plates are hardly regular shape, is this a pan plate or a cube plate

Are you sure that it's myc growth on your pans plates? I remember I put mine to agar the same day as you and mine are from prints less than a month old and have yet to germinate. I'd be hard pressed to say you got germination from a print thats a couple years old in less than 48 hours.

It's germinating where the spores flecks are so I want to say it is but we will have to wait. It's in the very early stages where you can see the spots with a bright enough light but it hasn't amounted to anything you can see on the surface. It just shows up as more opaque circular areas. Maybe it's because I dropped bigger spore flecks down because it was my first time and I'm still learning how to be conservative. More chances for germination. I don't see any collection of bacteria on the surface. Crossing my fingers.

As for the suspicious jar it's cubensis mycelium. you might be right. It may just be mycelium. I'll give it a few more days and if it looks gnarly I'll toss it. If it's questionable I'll snap a pic.

And I was surprised as you are that my pans are germinating if that's what it is. I heard they were aggressive but that's crazy. They must have some bomb ass genetics. I just looked and they are marked for the 5th and I'm not sure if I dropped them late on the 5th or super early on the 5th like 1 am early. I'll have to start marking time too. I remain cautious and highly suspicious.

The cubensis have been there since 1 am on the 3rd and there is pea sized growth. The other spot looks suspicious because it's much larger and really wispy the size of a nickel almost.

i confess, that matias romero is looking good on agar. going to do a transfer soon. side by side in 7 days the AA+ colonized the entire plate, the MR was only about 1/4 of the plate. but ill work it and spawn in the near future.
