In the beginning when i was only doing one monotub at a time, if i had contam outbreak that was small enough, i would typically try to cut it out in an attempt to salvage the tub. I salvaged 4oz dry from a single first flush MS PE tub that had no casing which would have given me a lot more, had i not done what i did. As well as another tub that gave 1.5oz blobs 1st flush, 3oz normal fruits the 2nd flush & 2oz on the 3rd. I'm sure it was at the cost of completely compromising my grow space, luckily i dont live there anymore.

So uuh... I was drunk Friday and I made a transfer from a bacterial petri dish in open air to a pasty plate. The wedge has actually recovered very nicely and is growing in all directions. I don't know what to think about this. It's been 3 days and there is no visible contamination. I didn't even use gloves or anything. I figured I'd toss the plate anyway so I might as well try to save some mycelium. We'll see how the pasty plate does but I'm afraid to use it as inoculant.
Forgive me for my sins.

In a few days once it's a bit more grown out and I'm sure it's "clean"
Kinda funny when you consider my petri dish story.

Anyway here's the donor dish, it looks battered because I spent about 30 mins practising slicing wedges. Didn't sterilise anything and it still looks like this. (No new contams since Friday) What the fuck? This dish was in open air for 30 mins.

Of course. I can't wait to see the pretty moulds. Thus far I've seen green, orange, pink, black moulds. I wonder what more colours there are.

for some reason, when I see colorful mold sporulating, it doesn't get me as upset as when a jar or bag starts getting tons of condensation and heats up from an immanent mold attack.
no colors... not even a whispy white.... just that sweat looking you right in the eye as ur stomach drops and u realize the mold was there the whole time
