OMG! You are a genius. I am so starting a binder because of you. How many years do you think spores are viable for? Quote:

It's because I'm using an electric hot plate and even though it's a decent one and 1500w it has a shutoff safety mechanism so it doesn't get hot and burn my house down.
What kind of pc did you get?

Sir Ham - you risky dude!
Black Cat you can get the plastic inserts at Office Depot or other stationary stores. I think they are designed to hold index or trading cards

Indeed, you get the eggs when they hatch and keep on doing that untill you have them all dead. Might take a while. I can see how the eggs wouldn't be killed, but wouldn't it at least keep it in check? (the DE in sub I mean)
Not that I'm about to try, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Confession... I've been leaving my windows open with the curtains closed when doing SAB work. Only when there's little to no wind.

Cyan. we spread that stuff all over. While out picking i smash all the old fruits all over my shoes. I like to rub my hands across the bottom of my dehydrator and then go out about my business high fiveing and hand shaking everyone like i"m a politician. More as a novelty but every little bit helps.

WOW!!!!!! That's amazing! It's so simple and stupid and cool and magnificent and it probably works great just because of the sheer number of spores getting distributed! GENIUS! I love it!

One thing is for sure, It doesn't hurt. Every little bit no matter how insignificant one may think it is, helps us all. We in this together. We in it to win it.

I confess I have 6qts of fully colonized bacterial spawn that I'm not sure what to do with. They aren't necessarily a total loss right? There's only 18 days before a 2 week vacation. All projects will be finished and everything will be cleaned before leaving as to leave nothing behind unattended. There doesn't seem to be enough time to spawn these and let them do whatever they can before the 18 days are up but wouldn't it also be a shame to toss them all?? There isn't an area outside where these could be spawned either. Originally the plan was to refrigerate them and spawn them upon return but I'd rather start fresh with clean cultures. What would you do?
