I am starting physical therapy once I get an MRI of my back to make sure I don't do anything unsafe. Luckily my echocardiogram was good and they have ruled out the vascular type. He sent out for some more tests. he said something about me coming back if they are negative and checking for deletions in my genes or something like that and wants tot ake more blood and have another look at me. I seem to be some interesting puzzle for him. I suppose I shouldn't complain though because he's the first doctor that actually realized there is something that needs to be treated and didn't ask if i needed a therapist or more antidepressants.
I want to grow lions mane too to help repair some of the nerve damage and help with other things. there are some really great mushrooms I can cultivate to help.
If I were you I would research diatomacious earth. It is pretty much all silica which your body needs to produce collagen. I took like a 1/2 tsp a day for over a year. No more excema but I changed a lot of other habits as well

You can ingest that stuff? o.O
It's like miniature razor blades, which is why it works so good on bugs, they get cut open and dry out. I knew you could use it on skin, but had no idea ingesting it would be safe.

DE kills bugs because it wicks moisture out of their body literally desiccating them to death. One of DE's primary uses is filter media for swimming pools.

It's basically ground up crustacean matter. Shrimp and crabs and all that stuff at the bottom of the ocean. As much as I have passively inhaled that shit in I would have to pass on actively ingesting it.

It wicks moisture because it gets between their body parts, and it cuts them open when they move with that stuff in there.

Ya I use it in plants sometimes. It works its way into their joints and cuts them up then dries them out. Shit works really well. If you have any kind of bug problem, just sprinkle it in your carpet then vacuum it up after every few days. Shit works wonders. I don't know about eating it though I think if you put it in capsules it wouldn't be bad but I'd need to research that a little more

You would have to incorporate it in your substrate, with a good amount in there, so there's some in almost every spot. But I was thinking the same too, have been thinking that for a while actually, I just never had gnats *knock on wood*
I've seen some fruit flies fly into my latest tubs when they were open, but that's been at least a week ago and no offspring for now...

Oh and it's not simply crustacean matter. Crustacean matter would be useful as a PH buffer, and probably as a minor foodsource for mushies.
It is part right though. It is fossilized crustacean matter. Big difference, as it is mostly silica, and crustacean matter would be more along the lines of lime/gypsum.

LOL literally EVERYTHING causes cancer. I was just curious about maybe putting it in my casing layer. It is the larva that it would kill. I remember reading in one of my weed books that top dressing with it was advised for fungus gnats. It said it killed the larva on its way through, by cutting the shit out of it. So my theory was if it was incorporated into the casing layer it may help our. Lucky for me I only have a few and will be dealing with them. I have stopped with mini monos and will only spawn shoeboxes. This will allow me to easily move them, as I spawn them, into another part of the house while I wipe them out.
