that was supposed to be another confession. (I'm not sure the name of the game has changed) it's costa rica spore solution straight to layered brf and wbs. the sub got wrecked because I left the wrong person in charge apparently and he misted a bottle that wasn't fully colonized. it never fully colonized but it's pinning all over the plastic. there's quite the biodiversity in here. I spot atleast 3 species

Don't open those! Just get some new jars.
Yeah It was. I made my landlord give me the first few months I loved here free for fixing it up.

I confess mycology really exemplifies how nasty people live. Can always pick me out of the crowd at the potluck, i'm the guy that brings two dishes that way I can have some and they can have some. Won't catch me eating a strange dish out of a strange kitchen unless I know their sanitation and hygiene regimen.even then it's iffy.

when it comes to what I put into my body IDGAF I try as much as possible to expose my immune system to anything I can, it's good for you! it's when people leave food out to mold that gets me grossed out. I don't want those spores on me

I confess that the last time I ate anything my mom cooked was about three years ago...
When I was a kid she made great food and I learned a lot in the kitchen from her. Respect to her. However, as she has gotten older, crazier, and WAY WAY less hygienic I've been more a more uncomfortable eating anything she cooks... well this was the last straw -
She brought a cake to to a family function and I was eating it out of duty ... because it was already nasty for tasting like 10,000 packs of cigarettes she has smoked in her trailer... Chocolate Marlboro flavor - then THEN... I fucking bit into the fake nail that she'd baked into it... as I spit it out and realized what it was I just flipped! Never again nope not once.
(However, I will agree with tryptaloids - the body can handle a lot. When I was a kid and we were really poor, we and other folks in the commune would dumpster dive behind the SafeWay grocery store in town and we ate a lot of stuff that was past its shelf life and had bits of mold on it etc. - Not a child hood I would recommend, but I probably have a very tough and robust micro flora in my gut)

I worked with a student who was friends with a microbiologist who let her babe (todler maybe?) eat straight off the table at restraunts to help his immune system. keep in mind all they do to those tables is wipe them off with the same towel all day. ever since she told me that I stopped worrying about germs unless I just went to the bathroom or I'm dropping food in a public bathroom I stopped caring. I even ate some banana cake that had fly eggs in it. of course I still wash up after going to the bathroom and before eating because I don't want to get sick but viruses are kinda different

I confess , my parents live in the apartment below me, and I feel I have to tip toe and be Sneaky spending so much time in and out of my closet. They probably can't hear the creaks that I hear or hear the door open and close, but I think they hear my every move.. they haven't asked what I'm doing with the closet, but my mom keeps saying it's a good closet to store my stuff, I should organize it and put in shelves.

Bleach is great if you're disinfecting a room at the CDC where an Ebola explosion happened. In reality it can actually make things worse if it's not a smooth surface you're cleaning. If you ever have to clean out 200 jars in one sitting because of a fuckup you'll catch on real quick

I admit it's more of a mental thing. As far as the fake nails, i to have flipped. A friends new girlfriend whom had hiv and withheld this info, chewed off her lee press on nails and left them on my counter on our first meeting.
My mom would take us to hickory farms to eat the free samples for lunch.
I once pried muscels of the fuel contaminated marina dock and fried them in catsup i was so broke. As well as eating spawned out humpy bought out of a el camino miles from the sea. By far the worst is makeing a wick style doughnut out of toilet paper and cooking my soup in a jail house shitter (To many times to count) .

Sometimes I wonder if people have accidentally mixed something that is susceptible to mold with their substrate. I know coir will not generally contam on its own, and neither will a fully colonized spawn jar, but for example if you prepped your coir in the same bucket that you soak grains and don't properly clean the bucket first, I could see it happening. Or if you simply used a dirty utensil to mix the spawn and coir. Something like that. This is obviously assuming that the spawn was clean.
