True confession we can all get along. I think dmt is overrated, it's absolutely bonkers, but it's like my opinion man and yall can have different ones.

i like the 6hour experience of shrooms.
that first huge hit of dmt i took change my life. but it was almost to much. my mind could not keep up. i felt like i was cracking up every millisecond until i popped inside my own head and everything went bright 'black'. like the brightest darkness you can imagine. and from this was a stream of info i could barely decode. it was exhausting. something about taking that experience and making it as long as possible is more what im about as i get older. how can i extend the blissful experience? how can i stay longer??
condensing the whole thing into 15minutes is something i wanted in my youth. ive seen the depths i drove down the highway. now i want to do some sight seeing.
i confess nothing.

Okay... you got me.
I confess dmt to me is not recreational. Never has been. It's been a practice for the past 5 years that I first started using in meditation. It wasn't until a year ago I actually enjoyed the experience.
While it's effects can be more intense on the spot, I find I can decode the personal messages in it much easier than mushrooms.
Bod is right. It's an opinion. For me it's less stimulating on my CNS than mushrooms, so I can understand it a little more than when I'm on mushrooms.
Personal brain chemistry = personal opinion.
I'm glad I have you guys to argue with.
@Mush get some harmala. It'll lengthen the experience. I don't smoke it anymore, I make dmt fumarate and combine it in a pill with harmine. An oral dose.

I find that as you do DMT more, it becomes more easily controllable. DMT is a tool and you can learn to use it correctly through patience and practice. I don't do it very much anymore, but when I do, I know exactly what I am looking for and it shows me the way. I find little when used with reckless abandon.
My experiences don't feel like 15 minutes. My DMT trips feel as though they last a life time. Time itself ceases to exist even so the idea of it only lasting 15 minutes is pointless to dwell on.
It's hard to say DMT is overrated and you like mushrooms more when mushrooms literally are DMT in an ingest-able form.

Shomann really hit the nail on the head. It is not a recreational substance to me. It is so much more than that it is hard to explain.

good point.
i havent smoked it since 2004. i was undisciplined with my control too.
mostly remember realizing how much i loved the live version of 'child in time' from made in japan. i can remember thinking i was standing on the soundwave and within the soundwave was another reality of beings. and i was learning about the history and culture of these people in real time..
anyone see the episode of star trek where picard experiences the life from an ancient civilization?
it was like that

Grew Cubes on BRCs in high school, then came back 5 years later after college to find a jar with a shriveled up cake in it still in the closet in my parents attic.
Recently have been hunting for friends in the local woods and find myself in an amazing calm space. and my thoughts quickly start moving in illuminating patterns that help me reflect on the bigger picture of things and free myself from the hangups and hiccups. There are hundreds of different fungi around and it is so fun and blessed and beautiful to go around and meet them as i walk from wood pile to wood pile along deer trails through the forest. They are like the hidden esoteric teachers of the forest, that can be easily overlooked, often happily hidden in the shade of eager and confident plants. Learning more to listen to the language of the forest and read the omens of the sounds, animals, landscapes, weather and the rest of the environment as they move in reflection of the thoughts and emotions i hold onto and release as i move my body though this living, breathing matrix of synergetic explosion of living bliss that is the spirit manifest into ten thousand forms before my eyes. Each offering endless sensual and intellectual stimulation, metaphors for the patterns of creation, growing and changing shifting and slithering, guiding and providing. Following the mushroom helps me get outside of the social dream and hangout in something that seems real. I hope that the calm and joy i have been given by nature and the mushroom can somehow help bring a greater connection to the earth and all that she provides for us.

Sometimes we want to debate with each other in MC and not the people in other forums who we don't have any particular connection with. A mush cult OTD would be pretty cool. Like a user created forum that only mush cult people had access to so we could talk about things other than cult but avoid the people who frequent other forums.
Sorry psilo if the off topicness pisses you off

you're fine, I just thought you posted in the wrong place by accident. it seemed more like a high person's rant than a confession to me, anyways, I enjoyed it. carry on
