Really big tubs are cool to think about but, that's a lot of spawn to commit to one tub. Kinda risky.

Naturally it was you I was thinking of, hah.
And yeah I'm still training on PF and haven't even touched a different type of sub yet, no way I'm daring something like that. But the sight of em was glorious, and helped make me even more disappointed when I got to the mostly empty canning aisle to find no 1/2pt wm's how dare they make me wash previously used jars

I've admitted this in private journals, but never in public, so please be kind...
I really struggled with my first grow and made an outdoor patch. Being in Florida, I used Treasure Coast because it's from Florida. I crumbled about 3 or 4 cakes into a bed of coir outside and watered it every single day. After a week, I saw nothing, so I panicked. I cooked a pot of chicken soup and poured it over the patch. Carrots, noodles, and everything. My reasoning was that it would be what I would eat if I were sick. I then lost my mind and stabbed the patch wildly with a hand shovel, sowing in the soup.
Two weeks after that, it rained and I could smell mushrooms outside. Sure enough, they were coming through. In retrospect, I was lucky to get this.

On my first grow at the moment. Looking good so far- getting some knots. Pins any day now. However I have been fluid with my process seeing as I've made some mistakes. I read Pasty's worst threads and am guilty of:

Was my plan but now I will just fan dry unless there is something cheaper than getting a dehydrator.

I buy a 5 pound bag of WBS for $1.59 almost every single day because the grocery store next to the place I work has them on sale...
I got pissed when nothing grew on my agar. Just agar. Didn't realize I needed a source of nutrient.
I made a PMP for my first fruiting chamber, I loved the idea. The day I made it, I found a ton of threads about how they are outdated and lame.
The first time I used my PC, I set the weight on and let er rip. Turns out, the spring inside the weight that keeps it from falling off also keeps it from falling on. I ran 3 PC cycles before figuring out that I had to push the weight down.
I melted a PC full of pp5 quart containers because the PC ran dry.
I'm pretty sure I have a bunch of plates labeled pan cambos but in reality I believe it to be some random mold.
I forgot to go Christmas shopping so I just gave everyone a quarter of mush.
I'll add more if I think of any.

That's cannibalism!!!!
Really, though...looking back over this past year especially...it's really been rewarding to see the little fuckers grow. I've been working with this F+ a lot and I'm really starting to see good results. It warms my frozen lesbian heart to look back through the gallery and go through each grow.

Lol ShroomerInTheRye's Chicken Soup Tek. I'm gonna start telling people to look for it instead of watching the LGM videos.

Just visited my parents and they were in the process of cleaning out their basement. They asked if I could take some of my old belongings with me to clear out some space, so I did.
These boxes haven't been touched in damn near 13 years and I couldn't believe it when I opened one and found the remains of what was supposed to be my first attempt at bulk. I found 12 pint jars of WBS with lids that looked like I attacked them with a screwdriver in the center and covered the hole with a bandaid for GE.
I remember soaking the seed and PC'ing them, but can't remember why I stashed them away instead of trying to inoculate them. Probably for the best since I only had spore syringes and used a bathroom as a clean room. Oh well, at least I know I sterilized them thoroughly. No signed of contamination after all these years... even if they are dry as hell.

You should rehydrate those grains, PC again, inoculate, and grow them out, all in a journal - call it: Resurrection Tek
