that's the beauty of oysters, they're even more idiot proof than cubes, they eat any substrate at record pace and just wanna grow.
Go into the edibles and gourmet forums where the real growers are and post your pics of monotub oysters there, no one would even take them off your hands for free.

He's doing a lot of agar right now and it's a pleasure to see him progress so fast when only 2 months ago he knew nothing about this.

Mono oysters..

Mmmmmmmm who doesn't love 50% stems. The BE of that tub would basically be more than cut in half after removing the parts of the fruits no one wants to eat. Oyster stems are gross Then after you get just the edible parts your left with small upturned saucers
Here's the same species

I once tried quart jars of BRF off LI. They sat for 5 months. They still haven't colonized all the way. The lids are unscrewed a little and they're upside down in the window. Almost time to trash them into a planter. Just wanted to see if people were right. Well, they were. The only success I've had is with wide mouth 1000mL jars which is actually pretty incredible.

What is the name of the species?
Psilocybe Cubensis, Albino Penis Envy.
Theyre called Ape.
Those lids do look pretty cool! Id use them as a decoration or make something out of them. Or to constantly remind your friend what an asshole she is.

woow this is amazing, how did you find him (or he you?) did you get to know him on the internet or is it "just" a regular friend ? If there was a way to teach strangers like this, or at least encourage own research and give some tips I would be very glad to do it I think
A while ago I was visiting a crappy Spanish website (cannabiscafe.net), just for shits and giggles, that specializes on cannabis but has a subforum for mush cult. All peeps there are rank noobs with no hope of getting any better due to the atrocious misinformation perpetuated by the site and its users, so I tried and lent a hand when I could.
Nobody there was interested on agar or just didn't know about it, but one day there was this random guy who made a thread asking to be given info about it, so I started writing up some info on agar and then more users started asking question and got very interested. So I deciced to make a kind of tutorial in "installments", just for fun, one installment every week or so, and a bunch of users got really hookep up on the thread and were looking forward to the next "episode" to learn more...
The problem was that there was this shitty noob mod (owner of this shitty ring), who had been "cultivating" for a long time, shitty grows of course, and he loved to contradict everything I said in any thread whenever I tried to help, giving disgusting info and stone-age advice just to try and prove me wrong. I always proved him wrong and he got pissed, I told him to ban me but that never happened, he just deleted my posts whenever I crossed him
So one day the fucker enters this agar thread I mentioned above and starts spewing shit all around. He didn't want anybody to know more than him on this forum... The users that were following up the thread even told him to shut the fuck up and be gone. So I wrote up quite a missive in that thread saying that that was the last time I posted on that site, that the whole situation was very annoying... But I felt for the users who were really interested, and were going to miss out on all this info, so in that last post and knowing for certain that the shitty mod would delete the post as soon as he read it, I posted my skype address for all the people who were really interested. The post stayed for 2 hours only before was deleted, so only 6 people contacted me.
Out of the 6 that contacted me on Skype, only one showed some real potential, I just felt it, and I wasn't planning to teach all of them, I just couldn't, so I chose this 18 yrs old guy, a fucking sponge, all ears, great mind and very inquisitive. He wants to try everything I've done so far, all the little tricks and he finds it all fascinating which is very rewarding for me.
He's just a kid, can't beging to imagine how good he'll be in a few years from now.

checkout mushurmans (mr alien) account on cc josex, see if he's still around. he made a group/journal thing with some good people in it. there was a few with decent potential there but the mods thought co2 sank to the bottom of fc's etc, was pretty damn fucked to try and tell them otherwise.
