I thought I was done with the mushroom community . I even threw out all my perlite and some cultures, but still kept everything else. I stayed away for about 2 years. Went through some personal shit. Then, I realized mycology is my only hobby, my therapist, my friend, and I missed the community. So now I'm back.. and about to go buy a bag of perlite.

Welcome back then ! Aren't you (in an) "excited" (mood) ?
Be sure I am ! Just writed and prepared a new recipe :
Recipe N° 2 = WR&CGA = White Rice & Coffee Grounds Agar Mix in 100 ml water : 1 soup spoon of cooked white rice 2 pinch(s) of used coffee ground. Crush a bit with a tea spoon time to time. Let it sit for few hours. Filtrate with coffee filter by example. The resulting liquid is the concentrate WR+CG. Usage : 20 ml WR+CG (White rice + Coffee Grounds) 20 grs agar-agar 1 Liter Water
In a few minutes, I'll move the now cold 20 sterilized petris from autoclave to mini-labo, and I'm planning to transfert 5 differents strains to this new recipe : one of them is Stropharia Rugoso Annulata ! Seems I finally got it to germinate on Malt Extract Agar. Can't wait to see how they doing in this recipe from everydays wastes. This is how I'll begin this new year ! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017 ! !

Posting for later this is gold haha.
How about two layers of electrical tape, no dry verm barrier, manual fanning 3 to 5 times a day with an air pump in some geolite? Incubators for all if your house wasn't warm enough to wear shorts in.

Adden... I'm scratching my head wondering if you are suggesting if I should apply two layers of electrical tape to my in laws to solve my problem...

Once, at the store, a lady bought the last two packages of wide mouth quart jars. I asked her what she was going to do with them. She told me she was going to make salad in them and take them to work. Just as she was going into this whole Pinterest thing that she saw, my temper shot through the roof. I wanted to make her cry and tell her that her salad idea was stupid and she was stupid for making salad in a jar. I wanted to pull her hair a little too. I gave her the hand and walked away while she blabbered on and on about fucking salad.

That is hysterical!
The three peak moments in the art of growing these mighty transformers ...
1) The moment the first specks of white show up in the jar ... relief 2) The moment the first pin appears as if life from primordial soup 3) When you wake up and realize your fruits have doubled in size and are rushing higher and it's like ... "whoa, these mofo's are getting B... I... G...!!!
Imagine going through life without experiencing any of that ....
I refuse to buy any dog treats that don't come in containers like this ...
-------------------- "The universe is endless, limitless and infinite. Any effort to define it's boundaries is an attempt to overcome ignorance. We are physical, mental and spiritual beings ... there is no beginning and there is no end. There is only memory. Our repeated loss of memory experiences create the illusion of beginnings and ends. Immortality is the ability to retain full memory through all consciousness transformations. Loss of memory is man's greatest curse and, in very real terms, death." -- Ancient Taoist Master

How about wrong shaped (spherical with a small opening) glass jars? I then drilled 3 holes in each lid and covered them all with silicone. No GE at all. I had to throw it all out, now I'm much more careful not to confuse/mix teks.

You know how one might gasp and clutch their chest at the sight of an unexpected basket of adorable puppies or kittens? That's what I did when i rounded the corner and saw these tubs in a curiously empty section of a big walmart. Of course I didn't buy them because I'm stingy, but oh boy, the noobdreams
