Anybody seen Mynakedrat? He/she has not contacted me about the prize. Have you folks started thinking of your photo confessions?
Boogieman... how you doin? My grief for my Dad came in waves, I'd be good for a while and then it would wash over me and I'd be drowning in it again.
Stay busy, but then take breaks to consciously grieve. Think of the best parts of her that she passed on and now live in you...

Condolences boogie, it's nice to see someone so concerned for the soul of a person more than the body. That would have been a good way to go. Isn't that how McKenna or leary went out?
Much love guys, thanks psilo for the win. This forum has came to me from the great spirit herself, the friends, bullshit, and hobby aspect just courses through my veins. I love waking up and reading what y'all crazy fuckers come up with. Cheers, and here's to another 100 pages and another 3k posts!

I must confess: I nearly shit myself...
Earlier this week I was doing yard work in the evening and two cop cars drive up really slowly and one parks on each side of my driveway and I just keep working like "nothing to see here folks". For about 3-5 minutes they just sat in their cars. The whole time I'm thinking how I have cubes growing nearby and a small personal stash... so I'm getting more and more freaked out as they sit in their patrol cars. I'm thinking who said what to who? How badly am I fucked here?
Finally, they get out and walk across the street to an apparent domestic disturbance... Whew!

Also, I also would be happy to go out on a strong dose of Harmine and harmaline, and either psilocybin or mescaline.
I know I'd be happy with either.

Dont. Youll regret it. I constantly force myself to stay vigilant and guess what? I hardly ever run out of shrooms! (And my house stays clean)

certain things in this hobby to me are a pita. i guess its all in the eye of the beholder. but when i first started this hobby i used to pour agar all the time. buy plates ect. i got so damn sick of doing that and wrapping them with film, that it was one thing i could not stand. so i moved on lol.
im sure everyone has one thing that they find tedious that they don't do anymore. to each his own, but i also don't like doing any type of maintenance on my grows. i don't want to open a lid, i don't want to fan anything, i don't want to do anything. i want the mushrooms to do all the work. i want my environment to do all the work so that i get more free time. and that is something i do have now. which is nice. these types of things don't really matter if your doing one tub. but if you have more than 1, every minute counts.
all of the extra time spent opening multiple tubs a day becomes labor intensive. if you have spare time, ok, but most of us real humans don't. so time is of the essence. and every minute matters. over the years, ive strived to perfect my methods in order to achieve the least amount of work.
one thing i find that takes up more time is having a small SAB or work space. i don't want to have to take 4 jars out, put 4 jars in. blah blah blah. thats tedious and time consuming. every extra jar you have to add and take out takes up time. i like a streamline operation. i like all my jars ready and do it military style like soldiers lined up and marching. that saves time in the end. this is why i like liquids. they make shit real quick and easy. pours are fast and i don't have to flame shit, i don't have to move things in and out. i can do them in quick motions and have 40 quarts inoculated in a very quick manner.

I've always been the exact same way. Even when I am only doing 1-2 shoeboxes. Time is of the essence, and I'd rather be living my life doing things I want to do, than tend to mushrooms because my situation isn't ideal.
All my teks, the Blenderless LI, 1-2-3 Agar, Bulk Strainers, and now I'm working on Bulk PF-Tek, all focus on reducing the bullshit and doing the bare minimum amount of work required to get the job done as best as possible. I've jokingly called myself the laziest cult ever, but in reality, its all about efficiency. Time is Money!
More recently, I've been growing on a larger scale than I have in the past, and this mindset of low-maintenance is pretty much the only option. I work a full time job thats pretty damn stressful, and I don't physically and mentally have it in me most days to even think of myco work by the time I get home. The time I save also allows me to use that time in other areas. Whether its visiting friends, making spore syringes to sell, or just cleaning my house.
Don't let mushrooms time steal your life away. Refine your techniques so you can live your life.

Bags are an amazing time saver. But bags are super hard to do in a SAB with G2G. So LC is my go to for them.

yeah munch, man i used to pull 60 hours a week and 40 hours growing. i think i aged myself 10 years in that last year. was it worth it? i love cultivation so yes. lol
so i was reading in another thread about wbs grain. and i used to use it, id live and die by the wbs grain. i was a wbs man. i do love oats. i love different things about both grains. one great thing about wbs is that its prep time is really quick, and it speeds up my spawn run times. usually 3 days with a lower spawn ratio than larger size grain. so for years i used it. but you can't beat the cost and hard to fuck up nature of oats. either way, there are little things you can do to lower times. its those little things that people overlook that count and make the big difference!
