I admit no matter how mamy times I inoculate LC with a "josex poke" my brain tries to convince me there wasnt anything on the needle and no mycelium got transferred. I have to fight the urge to go back and do a 2nd poke.
Josex poke has never failed me.

I came here to confess: it’s been too damn long since my last confession. I was looking through my page or whatever it’s called to look at old pics. I also just looked at people’s ratings of me for the first time. I didn’t even know people said nice things about me till just now. I love this place and all the people that call it home.
I haven’t eaten mushrooms in 7 months and before that was over a year. I used to eat them regularly for good reasons and need to get back on that schedule. I was at the bar after work and the bartender was chatting me up. She mentioned that she loves mushrooms. She was probably 40/45 and said she didn’t like them till recently. Tried them in high school and got sick or something. I didn’t go into detail but let her know I was experienced. I wanted to say I’ve grown dozens of pounds of mushrooms over the years for the fun of it but didn’t. Instead I told her to get me an oz. So for the first time in I don’t know how long I’m going to buy mush. I only hope whoever grew them is a member. I’m curious what kind they will be. Like regular cubes, something white, or something dick shaped? I’ll let ya know.
I miss this. I’ve been on the page but only on the real cannabis growers thread. It feels good to confess again. Sorry for the rambling but I had a couple dankful’s and got bit by the mushroom bug all over again. Feels good to be back.

I confess that for some reason, I decided to purchase a lab coat, many many years ago.
I haven't even worn it because it's stupid.

I confess, part of the reason I participate in giveaways, is with the hopes that I’ll run into someone local who wants to actually be a friend IRL…

What are friends? Speaking as a happily married mid 30's male who loves God, and also other unique things. It just seems really tough to find (or for me to be open to) other people who I jive with.
IDK if you're married or not, but man, if not for finding a loving spouse and starting a family a decade ago, I'm pretty sure I'd be a lot worse off. Met her at church. I always told myself I wouldn't meet my wife at a bar/club/out fucking off. That was the best decision for me.
best of luck on the friends and giveaways!

Welp, I’m always on here preaching pressure vessel safety, so I feel compelled to call myself out here. I came damn close to running my PC dry today.
Normal routine: start with 4 qts, crank the heat, vent for 20 min, bring to 17 PSI, set stove lower to stabilize temp, start 2 hr timer. Normally I check in every 5-10 minutes, but I got distracted. Came back after an hour fifteen, no idea how long it had been at 3 PSI, I set the stove too low. I should’ve turned it off, let it cool, refill and start over. Instead I thought to myself “hey I gave it an extra quart, I should be fine if I bring it back up to 17 and start the two hours over.”
Got lucky. I was fine. But there’s barely a cup left in the bottom. Too close for comfort.

yeah, still kickin. IRL shit been getting in the way of cult fun time. Day jobbing is lame. but i PC’d some soaked wood (custom blend of alder rabbit bedding and pecan smoking chips) today for my first expansion of some Ps. cyan myc I’ve got on WBS. Excited to get this culture established outside in time to hope for fruits next winter. Some Azure, and an unknown NZ woodlover on agar going to grain in a few days, too.
