Yeah Pan curiosity but still fresh. Been lurking on some pan threads, 2 MSS of Pan Cyan BVI, but still learning Agar.

I confess I have another couple stacks of tubs to dump from shoddy work.
Happy to have way more still going than not, but I'm definitely gonna slow my roll and make sure I smooth out my teks. Mostly starts with that agar.
If it ain't đź’Ż, it ain't right!

I get it at varying levels though. Usual it’s whatever but sometimes i have a heart attack when the doorbell rings.
Better than being too comfortable with it though.
I hear ya!!!
I confess, I've straight up destroyed my entire work before over some paranoia. I had forgotten that I had told the local popo that they could park in my yard whenever they needed a place to meet or whatever, because the old dude next door flipped the fuck out on them for parking on the grass in front of his house, even though technically the popo was on county property.
A few weeks or so later, I was walking out the front door and there were like 6 cop cars out front and the officers were all standing around the hood of one of the cruisers.
As soon as I walked out the door, they all looked straight at me and it freaked me out so bad I went straight back in the house and started dumping all my shit in the trash, piling stuff on top of it. I just knew that they were there for me!
When I was almost done, the thought hit me "if they were here for me, I'm caught, so why am I doing this and if their not here for me, I just wasted a lot of time and effort, as well as the money invested".
Then I had the Aha moment and remembered what I told the two officers that the neighbor was raising Hell with, realizing that they were just Bullshitin'

Man I would’ve shit myself.
I’ve thought many times about trying to find an affordable good sized kiln or incinerator and keeping my grow stuff small enough to fit everything inside it.
Just tilt the table, slide it all in, and hit the button.
I bet if I could build a big enough one for flowhood price I could make some money. “For heating use only, not to be used for destruction of evidence”.

You should run with that mini incinerator idea! Even if you didn't make any cash you would still have an incinerator and that in itself is rad.

Oh I don’t think they are a lot easier to grow than any other Pan… but I do think that the complexity of growing pans is a bit of an undeserved reputation

That come from a mono psilo? Looks good I just started my pan journey myself and I'm waiting for full colonization and a replacement fan. I'm starting with pan cyan

That's why I'm slowly going to all lc as an innoculant. If you fuck it up it's toast all or nothing. I just need to order a 10 pack of media bottles or tighten up my technique with pouring from jars.

So last night I apparently set my Instapot Max on top of a hot burner in my basement and destroyed it. Almost burnt the house down too. I used this for my grain prep, so I’m pretty pissed. Guess it is time to pony up and get a big presto. Wife is not going to be happy.

Holy shit sorry for your loss, good thing you got to it when you did.
I confess I'm relegated to my Instapot right now...Moved to an apartment temporarily and I'm scared to run my AA on the glass top stove.

I get that. I already had this instapot max for a while when I realized it could be used for grain prep. Yeah, I could only do a couple quarts at a time, but I only cult for me and my wife’s head stash, so it was enough. Now I’m getting my 23qt presto though, so it may end up being a good thing. Now if I could just get the smell of burnt plastic out of my basement…

I have like 25 tubs to dump
Another 50 looking good. Almosy out of old spawn entirely, aside from the oldest which will just go into the garden.
Good thing I got 500lb of grain yesterday
Too bad all the TOPE are trash. Gotta get back to agar on that.

I confess, I took an old chest freezer, drilled drain holes in the bottom and filled it full of cow and horse manure. I'm going to take all my old extra cube prints and make a slurry to pour in. I have an old aluminum window frame that extends up about 2 foot behind the freezer with an old clear plastic mattress wrapper slipped over the frame and freezer. The plastic fits well enough to allow good air flow and retain humidity, so I'm excited to see what happens. It's dark now, but if anyone really wants to see it, I'll take a pic tomorrow.
Edit: The mattress wrapper is what a new mattress comes in, if that helps explain it any better.

Really? I've had just the opposite, I even seed my pasture with old prints and sometimes my friends watering trough.
Edit: I even go so far as to print my hunting boots so they drop spores as I hunt. Anything that will increase productivity in the pasture.
Edit Edit:: where are you? I'm in cubensis country year round Some years.
